This may be more suitable for the politics forum but i'll let the powers that be decide.

This article on CNN:

has me perplexed. It says, essentially, that solar radiation activity has a direct impact on the earth's climate. It also said that from 2004 to 2007, there is documented evidence of increased solar radiation reaching earth even though the sun was in a period of declining activity. Since this time period had many record setting heat waves and those were written off as "global warming," you would think this article would make that link and discuss how the increased solar radiation might have contributed to this increased temperature in the climate cycle. But as I read it the only thing it really says is that these solar radiation cycles are not CONTRIBUTING to global warming.

I think it has less to do with scientific data than .... [gasp] ... political data.
