I think my lack of sleep and waking up in pain is a bedding problem. Now we have a king size bed so I know a new set isn't going to be cheap. I'd like to get this done here in the next couple of weeks and see how it affects my sleeping and well being. My bro reccomended Serta but he also has one of those sweet beds that sit up and do all sorts of other crap like a hospital bed. Maybe I should try one of those out too but I'd like to go the mattress/pillow routes. I have one of those memory foam pillows and I can't stand it the worst 30 bucks I ever spent. It's like it has alzheimers it can't remember 15hrs ago. Any advice?

My buddy has a memory foam pad on his bed and he loves it... might want to try one of those on the bed. I bought and extra firm pillow from WalMart for like $8 and it solved a lot of my problems with not getting comfortable and waking up with neck/back pain.

memory foam sucks if you're a hot sleeper.

it's like sleeping on a sheet of insulation. i sweat my nuts off every night.

We have a nice king simmons pillowtop and it is amazing.

We have a sleep number and love it. They are not cheap, but I have had no back problems since we got it. They also usually do 3 years no interest so it makes it a little bit easier to afford if you are on a tight budget.

My parents spent money on those "mechanical / hospital" type beds (king size) and hated it. They only had it for about a year. Just go to a matress store and shop around. You will have to spend some mullah on it but they will help guide you to a mattress that fits your needs. The are many many wonderful mattresses out there right now. Invest in a good one. A person spends a good portion of their life in bed so get a quality one at whatever the cost.

Temperpedic...if you can afford it. But I agree with jcrazy...they are rough if you are a hot sleeper.

I've had a temperpedic mattress for about 2 years. Looooove it!

Also, check out a down+/feather- pillows. They're expensive (for pillows) but awesome to lay your head down on. They don't lose the filling like the cheaper feather+/down- pillows.

So between the down pillows and the mattress... I still sleep like crap, but I'm comfortable being awake! :D
