ESPN actually has a front-page article on Jordan and his connection to the game released this week:

When I first heard about Jordan headlining the game, I was a little reluctant to buy in. Nothing against him, but his legacy was almost 15 years ago. I just didn't see the relevance -- felt like they were living too much in the past.
But this new feature where you play his best games to ultimately unlock him is actually really sweet. Like everyone else and their brother my age, I was a 90's Jordan fan. So getting on the game and playing with the '96 and '97 team is a lot of fun.

Yeah all those guys are in the game, except I don't know about Wennington. I assume he is, but I'm not sure, nor do I care.

I saw somewhere that NBA Jam is available for PS3 but only if you but 2K11 and then use a download code that comes with the game. Is that correct?

No, it was supposed to come with NBA Elite, the game from EA. But EA has decided to delay that game since it wasn't up to their standards (good idea since it would have been crushed by 2K11). So I think NBA Jam is now going to be a downloadable game on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network (as well as a retail game for the Wii). Or at least that was what was rumored last time I read about it.

My only complaint (and the guy on IGN shared this) was how fucking impossible it is to complete a pass sometimes. I just played a 36 minute game against the Hawks and had 16 turnovers. Don't bother trying to throw the ball down the court, it'll get picked off EVERY time. I've seen a few instances where my players will bobble the pass and it gets stolen -- Riiiiight, like NBA players can't catch a 30ft pass. It also makes running the pick & roll very difficult, because you can't tell where the picker is going. They seldom attack the basket.
