Stockton says that there is an RBI for a SF on the ball that Conrad dropped. How can that be when the runner on 3rd was 40' off of 3B when the ball hit Conrad's glove? 2nd basemen are having terrible fielding problems in both NL series!

The game has passed him by. No RBI was given on the play.

That is a good point on the rosters when Wagner is replaced due to injury, putting on a right-handed pitcher and taking off an injured lefty. SF should be able to make a countering move if they wish!

Hudson thru 5 with 71 pitches, trailing 1-0. Braves defense cost him an even game and 15-20 extra pitches!

Hudson breaks up the no hitter but Infante follows that up by swinging at a ball that almost hit his front foot.

And Heyward goes down swinging at a ball that nearly hit the plate. Sanchez now with 10 strike outs through 6.

106 pitches of excellent pitching by Hudson thru 7. I think the bottom of the 7th is where they break thru against Sanchez!

I sure hope you are right. And it was a great, gutsy outing from Hudson. He deserves much better than being down 1-0.

The pitch of the game by Sanchez was the 2nd straight 3-2 change-up to Lee, with the 2nd one being out of the zone low, but yet inducing Lee to swing and K for the big first out of the 7th! Lee gets a walk there and it is a whole different story in the 7th.

3 not very good at bats for the Braves in the 7th. At least McCann was able to spit on a few of the sliders/changeups in the dirt before weakly grounding out.

Venters has to have a lot of confidence in McCann to throw that "out pitch" slider in the dirt over and over. Great job by the Braves' battery to keep it 1-0!

Hopefully Bobby outsmarted Bochy. He will probably counter with Eric Hinske now.

I was just about to say I like Hinske as a reserve/pinch hitter
He didn't do much for the Pirates, they didn't have him long, but for other teams he's been a good fit in that role

Unreal. He has had some clutch hits for the Braves this year but he still amazes me when he comes through. Will be interesting to see how Bobby plays the 9th here. I would assume we'll see Kimbrel.

What is Bobby going to do now for outfield defense? Cabrera in LF and McClouth in CF for Diaz? He needs the best for tonight's designated closer!
