LOL at that strike out. I guess as long as he is giving the ball 5 inches off the plate to both pitchers, they can't really complain can they?

Braves best scoring chance of the series is squandered as Heyward hits a rocket right at Uribe for an easy double play.

but those runs would've scored anyway, I don't think it changed anything

Should've been a ground rule double. Would that have kept the runner at 3rd?

Nope. The sacrifice moved runners to 2nd and 3rd. Everyone gets 2 bases.

good decision to sacrifice

you're right that would've probably kept the runner at third

not sure if the fly to left would've scored that run

That makes sense. I think I was thinking runners were on 1st and 2nd.

I think it would have scored anyone except possibly McCann, who was the trail runner. He could have gotten to at least 2nd before he knew the ball would have dropped so I think he would have scored either way. Sacrifice was huge in the event that Gonzo's was ruled a ground rule double.

Braves badly needed that 5th run in from 2nd to take the lead! Gonzalez was there with just one out. Need to take the lead late on the road!

just the way he comes out as a high adrenaline, go right after them kind of closer I'd think a second inning will be awkward

but maybe I'm wrong

Nah I agree with you. He is so intense, having to sit after giving up the lead will make it tough for him. I would like to see Heyward join the party and turn around one of those low inside fastballs.
