Rivera breaks the bat of 4 out of the 5 batters he faces. He needs to go away.

Yanks get a tough come from behind victory there.... I was sweating it out early on, just didn't look good offensively and Liriano seemed to be pretty locked in. I think Gardenhire might have stuck with him a little too long, just like Girardi almost did with CC. But Mark deposits a Tex message deep to Right and Wood and Rivera shut the door to get Game 1

Don't enjoy watching the GOAT reliever? He truly is incredible. He has one pitch and nobody can hit it.

Dude is amazing. Been around forever and it seems like he just maintains his dominance without showing any signs of weakness or slowing down.

Yeah, everyone keeps waiting for him to break down....and it never happens. I don't give a shit about the save record, he is by far, the best ever.

Rivera has 40 postseason saves with a 0.74 ERA.! 2nd place is Brad Lidge with 16. Hoffman has 4.

I get that he's been on an incredible team, but those numbers are unreal.

Why? you should enjoy watching a guy who's really good almost EVERY time he goes out there....

You kind of wonder how many saves he'd have had he not been a set up man to John Wettland his 1st 2 yrs in the majors

Jeter is having a tough time right now, 1-7 with 2 K. He really doesn't look conformable at the plate right now.

Huge missed strike three call there on Berkman. Next pitch he bangs off the wall to give the Yanks the lead back. Gardenhire is tossed after a trip to the mound.

I wonder how these umps are liking TBS having the pitchtrax for every pitch.

Pitch was too close to take, but he called it like he saw it, in off the plate. Gardenhire proably deserved to get run there too for some of the stuff he said. Don't worry, I'm a master lip reader.

Jeter hasn't looked comfortable since about the middle of June. Its just been a constant struggle. Hopefully he can get things figured out

Yankees take Game 3 by a 6-1 score and sit back to await the result of the series between Texas and Tampa Bay. They've certainly proved some of the doubters coming into the playoffs wrong with their performance against the Twins, but you have to wonder if they'll have the same struggles against Texas or Tampa Bay that they did for most of the season
