4-0 Phillies after the Victorino single. Volquez is throwing a lot of pitches.

Good thing we sent out Edinson. Never would of thought he'd give up 4 in less than 2 innings.

The two RBI hit pretty much sealed the Reds fate, making it 4-0. Dusty a batter late in making the change. Still it was the right decision to start Volquez. Just too pumped up though and couldn't locate the fastball and had a typical lack of concentration with two out and none on to the 7th batter, walking him on 4 pitches.

Don't worry! In the play-offs runs can't be washed away.

Congrats to the Reds on making the playoffs for the first time in 15 years, but the stay will be SHORT.

^^^^

This.

Tarp should come on here soon if it picks up at all. If they can't resume tonight, pretty sure the game would be suspended.

Oh no.....Reds with a Game 1 Fail!!

I still would love to see them win this series(and this game), but I hate that they got matched up with the Phillies this early.

Yah but if it gets to bad and there is a long wait, Halladay would probably get pulled.

It's 1 game against Roy Halladay.

Correction, it's 2 innings against Roy Halladay.

Lets just chill out, and let shit play out. The Reds are in the playoffs for a reason, lets not pretend like this is gonna be 3 10-0 games.

Why didn't Wood get into the Starting rotation for the Reds. He pitched damn good against the Phillies this year and he is a lefty.

Been wondering that for about a week now. Wood should have started game 1 or 2; for christ sake he had a perfect game in the 9th inning in Philly earlier this year. He's fuckin good

Yah I was really wondering the same thing. I thought he would have been a good game 1 starter.

Looks like he is doing just fine.

Are you disagreeing with his post? Is it not his first postseason start? Is he not a veteran and multiple cy young award winner?

They have a better chance beating them in 3 games. The NLDS/ALDS is such a crap shoot in my opinion.

I'm just glad they aren't swinging at first pitch fastballs and settling with whiffing on 2nd pitch curve balls. Makes perfect sense to me.

I don't put any of this on the Reds hitters so far....Halladay is unhittable right now. The sink to his pitches is nasty.

Stop with that tomfoolery. The Reds suck. This series is over.

It's hard to believe this umpire is even looking at the first pitch of each at bat. 13 of 14 Reds batters have received a first pitch called strike.
