Headin' down with a group of friends to go to the USS Nightmare next Saturday. We'll get down there about 7pm and will have 2-3 hours to kill. What's the best place to hit up for some food and drinks? Just lookin' for something casual where we can hang out for awhile.

The new bar at the Levee...Brother's...isn't a bad place.
You could always go across the street to Hofbrahaus and kill a couple liters of beer before you go to the USS Nightmare. Hofbra is my place of choice down at the Levee.

A nice Irish lad like you Sherm doesn't even mention Claddagh Irish Pub ??? They have one on the Levee. I like the Guinness Onion Soup. Shepard's pie is good and so is the Chicken Meatloaf.
The Wife just said Dewey's Pizza. They have some nice Pizzas/beers. I've never been to Dewey's, but had leftovers that my Wife has back from from there. Good stuff.

Dewey's is delicious. I almost fought my wife because she ordered a pepperoni pizza from there. You don't go to Dewey's and get pepperoni. You go to Dewey's and get a specialty pizza.
I love Claddagh's...but for me, it's a little too expensive.

Hofbrahaus is awesome. Beer Sellar is also awesome. Be careful at J.B. Finns or they'll arrest you.
