I have Dish and ESPN and the Oklahoma vs Texas game is blacked out. What the hell? Why can't I watch this freaking game? Anyone else having this problem, I'm in Southern Ohio.

are you sure that it isn't on one of your local channels? usually my blackouts are because the game is on another channel

I've looked and it's not on any of the other family of ESPN channels. Except for PPV, but I'm not paying $24 to watch a freaking football game. I was watching the pregame and they said that Wisconsin Mich St. would be on either ABC or ESPN and Oklahoma Texas would be on the other.

Yeah..no way I would pay that. It would be cheaper to go grab dinner and a beer at a sports bar.

Wisconsin/Mich St. is on ABC and the Oklahoma/Texas game is supposed to be on ESPN, but they have it blacked out for some reason. I've never had this happen before, don't know why.

Even on regular ESPN? I get it in SD but its unwatchable. Horrible quality. Don't understand why the hell they blackout a game 2000 miles away

Yeah, I don't have HD. I get the HD regular channels, but we don't have any HD TVs. The regular old ESPN channel is blacked out. Doesn't make any sense to me either, I always thought black outs were because a local team didn't sell enough tickets or something.

Call ESPN. 888-546-3776. I just called to complain about not being able to see it in HD. I also took the time to mention that Craig James is an idiot.

Have Dish here too in NE Ohio. It's blacked out on ESPN and the ESPN Alternate feed.

They also don't have FSN Ohio right now due to a contract dispute (contract ended 9/30), so I can't watch those random Big 12/Pac-10 games either... bastards.

For whatever reason, they do this every time they have the regional games. If ESPN/ABC has 2 games on at a certain time and one half of the country gets one of the games on ABC and the other half gets the second game on ABC, the game on ESPN is only available in standard definition. I have no idea why they do this but it happens every weekend.

It was not the Texas game, but last night, the Oregon-Stanford game was not available here in the DC area. Instead we got ND-BC on ABC, Iowa-Penn St on ESPN and USC-Washington on ESPN2.

Why ND-BC over Oregon-Stanford on ABC? I have no idea. So, my buddy and I were ticked. But, we just went online, to ESPN3 and hooked his laptop up to the flatscreen TV to watch the Oregon game. Sort of annoying though.

The ABC game is regional. You are in DC. DC is closer to both South Bend and Boston than it is to Oregon and California. Why they didn't at least show the Stanford/Oregon game on ESPN or ESPN2 is the only questionable thing.

NO, Notre Dame has exclusive contracts with NBC. All ND games should be on NBC and nothing else.

It was available here in DC. I have Comcast and got all 4 game.
I watched the Stanford vs Oregon game on ESPN2 SD. ESPN2 HD was the USC game.

They have a contract for all Notre Dame home games. As soon as ND stops being relevant, their away games won't be televised on ABC/ESPN/CBS.
