Salem and Struthers I am a Campbell guy. Let me say this.

I think this will be a great match up. Toothman is hands down my favorite player in the AAC. I would love to work with that kid. He is the guy that makes everyone else around him that much better. OUTSTANDING on both sides of the ball. I hated him last week, lol. I love him again. You cant help but appreciate the work ethic and the drive of this kid. Number 10, 20 and I believe 4???? All three are a force.

Struthers is on the up it seems. As a Campbell fan I can tell you I come from an era which includes guys from Struthers like Dom Anzevino, Joe Savko, Drew Macejko, Mike and Gino Morell....for that matter all the Morells, Greg Ekoniak and so on. I know all of them personally and they are great guys. I don't hate Struthers except for one night a year. You guys are making these guys proud that you are trying to bring back a proud tradition as are we proud of our young kids attempting to bring back tradition. Our rivalry is one that needs a sense of renewing. It is more than 85 years old and i hope this year it is a barn burner in week ten.

That being said leave it for week ten and let Salem and Struthers have a conversation about tonights very important game between these two teams. We have a date with Champion. Did i ever mention how much I hate Champion, .

Lopsided thus far, 20-0 Salem after 1 quarter.

EDIT: As I sent this Salem muffed a punt and Struthers has great field position.

Struthers was able to play it pretty even the rest of the way out, but that 20 points was just too much to overcome.

Struthers went down early and couldnt really come all the way back. Good game by salem they came out and did what they had to do to get the W. Wouldnt be mad if struthers showed some plays they ran in the second half in the first half.All in all good game both ways. Struthers should get back on the winning side next week against Conneaut

Great job Salem!! But my there was a lot of penalties....didn't think we'd get out of there till midnight...

Salem came out strong in the first half, but penalties and turnovers that kept Struthers in the game marred an otherwise good performance. Lakeview and EL won't be as kind to Salem if they don't correct the errors. Kudos to Struthers for hangin' around when they could have folded. The Wildcats just couldn't seem to get that score that would have brought them within a touchdown in the second half. A very competitive game that was still somewhat in question until halfway through the fourth. Another positive note; many of the younger Quakers are continuing to improve every week and are making important contributions.

20-0 Salem after 1, then alternating TD's the rest of the way out. Struthers was never closer than 13, Salem never led by more than 20.

The fake punt in the third really did it. Struthers came down and scored right after that. If they would have stopped the fake punt and scored it woulda been a 6pt game in the third. Toothman has some nice recievers to throw to. Brooks did all he could tonight for struthers getting 3tds but they need to get him the ball a little more in space for him to be really affective

It was 34 - 14 heading to the 4th qtr; I never felt the game was ever in doubt. Salem had chances to blow it open, but hurt themselves a couple of times. 11 penalties --- we can't have that. Credit Struthers for not quitting; they are good up front. Good luck the rest of the way.

While this game looks fairly close it was never really in question. The Quakers were up 20-0 about 8 minutes into the first quarter, and just rode out the rest of the game TD for TD.

Except for HEAVY penalization in the second half which without we may have made a score or two more.

On a good note. Struthers plays conneaut, next week and should improve to 4-4...
