For the longest time I never really cared for Shaq (Maybe it was just the purple and yellow Lakers jersey lol) but even after so long that didn't bother me as much. He is someone who despite his antics on the court he is a big kid who has a big heart. Great Story and gesture by the big fella

I have always thought Shaq was a good man. This solidifies that thought.

I just read that article about 20 minutes before this was posted.

I remember hearing about the missing girl in Fayetteville, I have cousins that live there.

I never did hear what happened to her, until I read the article...what a sleazebag of a mom.

Great gesture from Shaq. I've always gotten the impression that he has a big soft spot for kids. Probably stemming from the fact that he is a big kid at heart.

It's just too bad that this girl's family (other than the dirt-bag mother) are having to go through this.

Great story, but you guys aren't using the right adjective to describe that horrible bitch! What kind of mother could sell her FIVE YEAR OLD into prostitution and appear to be completely unmoved by the whole thing. Sorry, but she's one that begs to forget about due process and just take her skank ass out.

Shaq has been doing good deeds for a long time.

Few years ago he bought a truck load of electronics and went to the poor part of the city, think when he was in LA, to give them away.

He got annoyed tho when TV stations started to show up for filming. He said he wasnt doing it for publicity and asked that they stop filiming and/or not to air the footage on the news.

I became an Shaq fan when he put up like 40+ against the Hoosiers when he was with LSU. Am a hoosier fan but man he was just amazing in that game..and if I remember right he had double digit FT attempts in that game and made them all.

Voice:

I think he does something like that every year at Christmas time. Calls it "Santa Shaq" if I'm not mistaken.

Shaq has always been a very generous man, with what appears to be a very large soft spot for children.
