Great outing by Beachy tonight. Hopefully Moylan can work around that misplay by Conrad.

Fuck. Two misplays and a walk lead to a run.

Before the Phillies swept the Braves, the Braves were leading the series this year.

Unreal. Give a team like the Pirates 5 outs, they will score a couple. Give a team like the Phillies 5 outs, they will do a lot more damage.

told you...it's a no brainer

The Phillies are irritatingly predictable, lucky and good.

They'll either dominate the playoffs or be on the bad end of a big and surprising upset.

is that 6 for the number of games the Phillies have lost since the break?

I would not call them lucky. Yah they get some breaks here and there, but all good teams do. The Braves have had some breaks go their way this year. The Phillies just don't think they are ever out of a game and can win any game.

Eh I'm not sure the Braves have gotten many breaks at all.

I'm not sure about Ryder Cup, I will probably try to stay up.

If the Braves are able to hang on to the Wild Card they are going to need to take advantage of the 3 off days before game 1. Infante, Heyward, and Gonzalez have played every game for a long time and are definitely wearing down.

Screw the Phillies and Giants right now.

I see the Braves getting swept because you can't beat the Phillies and the Giants winning on Sunday....forcing a 1 game playoff in Atlanta

Almost 55,000 people show up today to see the vaunted Braves offense get completely shut down by some Johnny no name. Great way to honor Bobby. Better pull something out of their ass tomorrow.

If the Giants, Padres, and Braves all end up with the same record, how do they decide the playoff spots?

Edit: NVM found it. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5639352.

It would be crazy to see them all have the same record.

Scenario 1 is dumb imo. I can't believe they would force the two teams to play an extra game just to figure out who the wild card is and who the division winner is. They should just use a head to head tiebreaker.
