Cox will be in the dugout for the last time in a regular season game this coming Sunday. The Braves have a ceremony planned for before Saturday's game with the Phillies in which they will honor them.

Jayson Stark just posted an article on Bobby and its a pretty good read:

Saturday? Last I saw there were only SRO tix available for Satuday's game for $20 a piece. There are limited numbers of tickets available Friday night and Sunday is sold out.

I REALLY hope the Braves make the playoffs. Bobby going out with his team limping down the stretch and missing the playoffs would be terrible.

I also hope he gets tossed in the 9th on purpose, just for shits. That would be classic.

I would like to see that too, but don't think he would want the attention. Maybe Chipper can talk the umpires into "honoring" Bobby Sunday.

Love Bobby Cox.....never afraid to bench a young player for a lesson, always cheering each player on each at bat and always has defended his players.

I do not agree that he is highly overrated.

Man, these Braves don't quit. After MRI reveals Prado is out for the remainder of the season with an oblique tear/hip pointer, Brooks Conrad fills in and triples to tie the game tonight. Eric Hinkse follows with a pinch hit HR. Pretty evident in the dugout how much Bobby means to everyone.

I would hope and think so also. Fox will carry the game nationally, which of course means I will get to see the Tigers/Indians or some shit. I really dislike Fox's stranglehold on Saturday baseball.

I love the lowly Cubbies taking 3 out of 4 from the Padres. Braves magic number is now at 2 and they could clinch as early as tomorrow night. I think it would be fitting if both the Braves and Padres win tomorrow so they can clinch it on the field Saturday for Bobby.

It is supposed to rain in the afternoon and we start at 2. Hopefully there is at least some precipitation falling around 1 so I can back out.

Braves tied it up but no Braves fan expects anything other than a Phillies win....just maybe a matter of what inning
