Starts Friday in Wales. I actually like the chances for the U.S. squad. It's gonna come down to how the young guys on both teams play.

Always to a fun event to watch. US hasn't played well overseas in the Ryder Cup for a long time and the big guns always seem to choke over there. Hopefully Tiger has his game going and the young guys come through and deliver some big points for the US

I really don't get this. If they don't want to show it live at 2 AM, then let ESPN air it until 8 AM or so and then pick up your coverage with the God awful Johnny Miller.

If they insist on holding the rights, at least show it live SOMEWHERE on your network empire. They have MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Univision, whatever else to show it live if they don't want to clog NBC airwaves with it, then, show it on NBC delayed later for others.
Dick Ebersol needs to die in a fire, though he lived through that (plane crash) once.

I'm so psyched to watch this!! It's things like this that I'm thankful Fisher doesn't have friday classes. Anyone else staying up?

NBC has weekend rights, and is tape delaying Saturday.

If you have the Golf channel they will be showing it live from 4 am to 8 am on Saturday.

I don't think they will be showing live coverage of play during that. "Live from..." is their studio show where they also have a set at the site of the event. They have the same thing for all of the majors as well. They will give updates etc, but won't be able to show stuff as its happening on the course. I'm sure NBC holds all of the rights to the Saturday matches.

Oh didn't don't ever tune into the Golf Chanel just saw it on the TV guide thanks for the heads up.

lol I was definitely excited there when you posted that. Had to check it out, figured it was too good to be true. CBS, ABC, and the Golf Channel have worked together to provide coverage of other big events. I don't think Johnny Miller will sign off on him missing out of having the entire country watch/listen to his pompous ass.
