I added HBO a few days before Hard Knocks started through my online account. Simple. I go in today to finally cancel HBO and I get this message: "To remove this premium channel, please call 1-800-531-5000 and ask to remove this channel when prompted."

Dumb, especially when this message is plastered about 500 pixels below: "We've made it easier than ever to manage your account online."

Also, I turn to FSCIN to watch the Reds game at 4:00. It says "Channel not purchased." Oh really? Has every other Reds game I've watched this year been a mirage? It says to reset your box if your package includes that channel. I just reset the box and after about 10 minutes it just popped back up with the same damn message. Now I have to call in to get this shit figured out.

GFY DirecTV.

DirecTV is the biggest scumbag company around. Mark my words: when you call to cancel HBO, they will badger you and give you a ton of shit before finally "letting" you cancel the channel. My mom tried cancelling her service three times before it finally happened (I had to call for her and threaten them, it was utterly pathetic).

I had the same problem when I went to watch the Reds today Justin.

I just had my DirecTV installed Wednesday because Dish was pissing me off. But I never had that kind of problem with Dish.

If Time Warner's customer service didn't suck so much ass I would go back. But they blow harder than either of the satellite companies.

Ya...that was me.

Sorry I couldn't really say, hi. My boss called me just as I was getting out of the car and ambushed me with a conference call with me, him, and his boss's boss.

Love my Directv. All the cable companies badger you when you try to cancel things. I've never had a problem with them specifically though. As a matter a fact I'm getting the whole home DVR here shortly.

I'll have to disagree.

Buckeyecable (NW Ohio) is pretty good and reliable. They've hooked us up for being customers for so long as well.

You are welcome. That was my intent.

On a side note directv is a pain in my ass too. But nothing will ever compare to time warner, I had issues once a week with them.

Directv rocks. I had to call to cancel my Center Ice on Friday. Not a problem. Took all of two minutes with no badgering from them.

I'm pretty sure it's $10/month.

$7/month for the DVR service. And then $3/month for the whole home DVR.

I like DirecTV's DVR sooooooooooooooo much better than Dish Network's. With Dish, if my wife was recording two of her shows that were on at the same time, one of those shows had to be on in the living room, and the second had to be on in the bedroom. Now, with DirecTV's...it's more like cable. If she is recording two shows at the same time, one of them has to be on in the living room...but I can now go into the bedroom and watch something else. That's so key for me...especially with the playoffs coming up!

It's $99 to install it. $3 a month to have it. I plan on threatening to leave them to not pay all of the $99 though.

I've had no problems with Buckeye. Not only do I have NFL Network and Redzone, we get ESPN3 for free if we access it from our home.

I just had roadrunner high speed installed last night and finally hooked my receiver up to the Internet. I wanted the on demand channels mostly, but has anyone else used the pc hook-up they have? You download an application and you can watch all of your dvr shows on your computer. It's really awesome. And it's free. Im not going to get whole home dvr now because this is just as good but cheaper.
