As I have been stating..he can't win the big game. Throws 2 INT's in last 4 min of game vs Bama. The guy has talent, but lacks it between the legs.

I told everyone last year that Mallet cannot play as great as people think he is against good/great competition.

He folds.

Ya, it does. lol Tired of people talking this guy up like he was this and that. I said before season started he hadn't earned it be on the Heisman list. He hasn't won a big game to date. ;)

ESPN Gameday certainly blew up his head because of his TD pass to win against Georgia. Played like shit down the stretch.

Wasn't a believer before. Still am not a believer. There are several guys who have been touted the last couple years like that. Supposedly they have all the physical tools so their names keep popping up as Heisman candidates, but they continue to fall short on the field.

Mental mistakes once again in big time games against good competition.

If that were Pryor people would be all over his shit. Actually people are all over Pryor's shit on every single bad pass. Something both Mallet and McElroy had a good bit of this game

Wonder where all of Mallett's arm strength was when he tried to throw that ball out of bounds towards the end of the game haha?

do you think that 1-3 start stings worse than 41-14 or 84-75?

Since you enjoy living the past, ya, I think 1-3 does sting as ND wont' be getting to a title game with that record. In case it slipped your simple little mind, this is the football forum as well. Just an FYI as I know your a little slow at times.

Plenty of arm strength, he threw for 357 yards against Alabama's porous secondary. Now his mind strength can be questioned because those were mental errors at the end of the game.

What does how many yards he threw for have to do with anything haha? Leinart and Brady Quinn threw for a lot of yards in college, do they have strong arms? Look I know Mallett has plenty of arm strength, I just thought it was funny how our brains get beat in with how strong his arm is and then when he tried to throw it out bounds he came up way short.

He reminds me of Brett Favre in the mental aspect of the game. He tries to do too much and force things and comes up short. I'm still a huge Mallet fan and think he is going to be a really good NFL QB

I agree, Mallet will be just fine, especially if an NFL QB coach can make him focus through 4 qtrs. The kid can make all the throws, he needs some polish is all.
