There's people out there that still want Miles very bad as the UM head coach...He will be out at LSU within 4 years, the LSU folks are starting to figure him out as a snake.

Haha... ya, I saw that on ESPN and just chuckled to myself.
Saying he doesn't know who told the QB to spike the ball... and he's caught on film yelling and making the motion to spike the ball... classic.

How did he outcoach OSU in the national champsionship game a few seasons ago? Tressel is a much better coach than Miles.

I remember when Thedynasty1998 was listing coaches better than Tressel, Miles was one of them. I knew then that some LSU faithful were calling for his head then, now they want him fired. It really puts things in perspective as an Ohio State fan.

He didn't outcoach the Buckeyes....they had the better athletes all over the field.

No, LSU had the better assistant coaches. If Tress could have been able to keep his assistants from the 02'-03' National Championship team, he'd probably have a National dynasty going now.
Coaches are only as good as their assistants. I'm just not sold on Heacock or Bollman. There is a reason these guys haven't been offered head coaching jobs.

yeah, our assistants got outcoached that night. There's no way Les Miles did it. This is the same guy we handed a 33-7 ass whooping in the Alamo Bowl when he was at Oklahoma State in '04

Couldn't agree more. He's the Charlie Weis of the SEC.

When UofM was looking for a new coach and so many people were crazy about getting Les Miles, I never wanted him. Now, I confess, I wanted Brian Kelly in the worst way, but I get such a bad vibe from Miles. No Thanks.

Yeah I wouldn't say Tressel was outcoached by Miles in '07, that was definitely a case of LSU having a much better team. The talent that team was pretty amazing, in actuality, it was pretty much a joke that they had 2 losses in the first place.
I've never been able to stand Miles, going back to when he first got the job at LSU, needless to say I was not disappointed to see Ole Miss drink his tears last week.

If I remember correctly, Les Miles name was circulating around among the Tressel haters, saying what a great coach Miles would make in Columbus because he was so innovative and wouldn't be afraid to open up and use that marvelous solution to all poor offenses, namely the spread. I'll take Jim Tressel over Les Miles by about a country mile and I'm so glad we have a man of integrity, who also happens to own a record that is better than practically every man who has ever coached college football. We all should be thankful he is our coach. I hope he's around Columbus for a long time. I certainly wouldn't want to be the coach who follows Jim Tressel. Perhaps some of our most ardent Tressel haters should get their applications in. I'm sure the Ohio State offense would perk right up!

I can't recall a single post here or on the other Huddle that supported Les Miles as an OSU coach...

A few years back he did a self promotion of himself for the Michigan job. It worked because LSU extended his contract, but i think hes a fraud.

I don't have the post at hand, but I would be willing to bet that Miles' name did in fact come up on JJ about a year or so ago that suggested he, along with a number of others, would be a better coach for the Buckeyes than Tressel. I also remember the self salesmanship job that Miles did. If I can ever get back on JJ I promise to put that post on here. I have absolutely no reason on earth to lie about it.
(The post that claimed Miles would be among those that would make a better coach for the Buckeyes than Tressel would.) For some reason, my computer started cutting out this morning when I got on the JJ site and so I can't do anything with it, but when I can, I'll go back and find the post. It's there.

I would also say that I have never heard anybody (in real life or the Huddle) say that they wanted Les Miles. That makes me laugh

I remember there being a thread on top college coaches on jj and just about everyone had Miles in it. After 1 game everyone suddenly thinks hes not a very good coach??? I dont get it.

Is Jordan Jefferson stupid? He takes sacks in the worst possible situations. Get rid of the damn ball.
