I attempted to start a discussion about Delhomme (who I consider to be awful) and it turned into something far different. I wanted to talk about the overall lack of talent from a team that has been in rebuild mode for 10 years, yet got shot down.

I am a Browns fan (far more than a Cavs fan), but I honestly have gotten tired of watching such a poor product on the field. Detroit is bad, but you look at them and you see a bunch of young talent and even though they might not win, you can watch guys mature and improve from year to year. The Browns seem to get older year after year and have failed miserably through the draft, and hopefully Holmgren can turn that around, but I'm starting to question him as well.

Every team that is successful seems to have a few IMPACT game changing type of guys (Polamalu, Ray Lewis on defense, Drew Brees, Chris Johnson on offense). We have NONE of these. The closest thing we have to an offensive game changer is Cribbs and I don't even count him.

The biggest asset on defense is their coordinator and I think they actually play hard and are able to compete, but they need more talent to get to that next level.

That's the thing about game changers, how often have they had picks near the top of the draft and chosen to trade down to build depth? They need to get some of those elite talent players. I thought the Haden pick was a stretch, but it's hard to criticize it. But with that said, I much rather would have seen an offensive player in hopes that they could provide that spark.
