Just get the OTC shit then. What's the big deal.

I had purchased some crappy insurance in the meantime until I can jump back onto my dad's again. I assumed the generics wouldn't be over $20-30 in the event that my insurance didn't cover the prescriptions at all (which they don't)hoops23;492990 wrote:Omeprazole ='s Prilosec.
And yes, w/o insurance just buy the shit OTC.
I'm a pharmacist intern and deal with this shit all the time.
I didn't read the entire thread, but if you would have told them AT THE TIME of calling in the script, it would have saved everybody a lot of time.

1. "Hmmmmm, medicine cost me more when I dont have insurance, now me way pissed off...hmmm...insurance must pay som of cost of medicine"...and all of our premiums underwrite the apparent obstinant refusal for you to just go and buy some Prilosec OTC off the shelf, which is the same dam stuff......
2. "me think that medicine should be cheap or free because it is medicine"; because I want to save all my money for cigarettes and liquor. I am willing to pay full price for those, however, and there are apparently no generics for Cuervo.

It doesn't take a genius to know that name brand stuff is more expensive, but these were generics that had their patent expire in 2001...

..............grow up.
friendfromlowry;493022 wrote:Oh the irony, telling others to grow up while you stereotype people who complain about medicine prices as more concerned with buying cigarettes/alcohol. Be honest, though. What in life has happened to you for you to feel that way? I'm curious.
