After seeing Notre Dame lose to 2 of the Big Ten bottom feeders in consecutive weeks, I think its a good time to talk about next year, what do you guys think?

Well it looks like ND will obtain yet another highly recruited class strictly from Brian Kelly. You gotta give this guy a couple years in order for him to get HIS recruits in, otherwise what really can you expect? I mean look at Tressel, the guy takes over, first season, he wins a bowl game, 2nd season he gets lucky on a PI call and stumbles on a National Championship. It took about 2 more years for Ohio State to be a perennially National Title contender, winning prestigious bowl games and conference championships, so ND is on the right path I think.

Heck, if ND happens to eek out a close loss against USC this year, it might be worth a 10 year contract extension, so don't worry domers, you're in good hands; because guess what, there's always next year.

I heard they were shutting down due to irrelevancy. Everyone involved thought it was just getting worthless to even show up, it hadn't been good for decades and lately was laughable. Just so easy to beat around how you liked, people started to lose interest. But enough about sleeper's mother, Notre Dame will probably go ~12-0 if everyone returns.

I agree with 99% of this, except for "first season, wins a bowl game." The Championship was legitimate, interference call or not. So maybe that's 90%.

I didn't realize Ohio State beat South Carolina in Tressel's first year. I thought we lost that game, you mean all this time I watched the wrong game?

Although I thought Sleeper's rant was classic, I was wondering who would notice this little glitch in his logic. lol

With regard to the topic, ND will go 4-8 possibly even 3-9.

Coach Kelly won't be 4-8 or 3-9. He will be + millions. CIncinnati may be right around .500 this season also. Knowing when to make your move is very important.

If Kelly goes 1 - 11 will the AD Soreprick come out and say "We really F'd this up...I meant to hire Bob Stoops from the get go and now I'm going to give Bob a lifetime $10M / yr contract. Of course we will continue to pay the Hamburglar his buck two ninety - eight for the next five years just as we are continuiing to pay Weiss and Winningham."

I tend to agree with 8-4 7-5 but we need to see who they draw in their bowl game.
