Keep the change

Whenever I go thur the drive up window ..(example: coffee shop, fast food places) I never take the change (kind of a tip). I take the dollars but leave the change.

Now if I should go inside and order then I take the change and leave no tip (unless I’m waited on at a table)

Are you change taker or keep the change type person at the drive throw window?

Yea, if there's a change jar, I just leave it there. I NEVER "tip" with change. I've just always thought it's kinda disrespectful to give someone change as part of a tip. It seems like a "I don't wanna deal with it, you take it" sort of thing.

Just curious Belly, what does the drive thru guy do that the guy inside at the counter doesn't to deserve a tip?

Too bad they don't make cars with cupholders, ashtrays or an area in the door to keep stuff.

That makes sense. I have a spot for change in my car and I tend to eat a lot from the vending machine at work, so I always want change.

At times, I'll put a penny or two in the give/take a penny holder to make up for all the times I've blatantly used it. Other than that, what's mine is mine.

The only time I don't take my change is if I'm only getting a penny back. If I'm getting something that's just $.99 like a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, I'll hand them the dollar and tell them that I don't need the penny.
