She actually doesn't involve the race card or completely take the "victim's" side. I think she did a nice article on the whole Jet's/Ines Sainz situation.

Well no kidding....because it isn't her race that is involved. And it is a hot chic doing the same job that her sorry ass is doing. She dressed up her shot pretty well, but this is really just a catty way of calling Sainz a slut out of jealousy.

I disagree. I think she has a point. In all office environments there is acceptable attire and behavior for both sexes. As far as this situation goes it seems to be a bit more one sided. She's allowed to flirt with the line and engage in behavior and dress in a way that has very strong sexual over tones. Then she complains when the guys return said behavior back towards her? Is what the guys did right and acceptable in any professional environment? No. Is going around feeling guys biceps, and dressing provocatively while on the job normally acceptable behavior for females? No... (unless you're a stripper).

While I understand having "sexy" female reporters is for the male audience back home, there also have to be standards maintained as far as professionalism goes.

So, there was no problem with the way the lady dressed until some dudes made remarks about her? If she was unprofessional to begin with, that could have been addressed at any time in the past - doesn't sound like it ever was. But when someone screws up and goes too far, THEN it gets pinned back on the lady for dressing "provocatively". Please.

I may not have read all the details, I don't know...what I did read didn't sound like any kind of a big deal either way. But if you are going to say that the guys went too far, that is their mistake, no one else's.

And I agreed that it is their mistake... but I am also saying she is going to far with her behavior and choice of outfits (whether it be her choice or the choice of her company). Professional decorum should be met by both sides, not just one.

i'm with Jemele on this one. Sainz didn't deserve to be mistreated, but she certainly presents herself as someone willing to be subjected to this sort of thing.

I don't agree with her getting harassed in any way, but c'mon it can't be more obvious that Sainz is only looking for attention. I've seen this compared to the Erin Andrews situation. Seriously? EA has always done things the right way....and based on everything I've seen from Sainz, she's the exact opposite. Good grief, she went on the today show yesterday with her boobs hanging out of her shirt....not a real good way to get sympathy if you ask me. I'm not sure why this is even a story....

Now we got a thread!

I don't see how she's dressed like a whore, though. She's wearing a shirt and jeans. It isn't her fault she's hot in ordinary clothes. I know all of us guys would probably think (and even say) the same things, but we'd also all know the time and place for such isn't in front of or directly to her.

yeah, but it's much more revealing than what EA or Rachel Nichols or Suzy Kolber or any other respectable sideline reporter wears.

I don't know if she's respectable or not because I've never seen her report. That she dresses differently than those gals (none of whose reporting I particularly care for) doesn't really mean much to me....nor does it rationalize the whole she-asked-for-it mentality....to me. Besides that, look up Erin Andrews pics and you'll find plenty where she is showing just as must cleavage as this chic.

I don't find her dress to be unprofessional and apparently neither did anyone else.....until some dude fucked up and now it's an excuse for him. I just don't buy that at all. Both Hill and Cowherd alluded to the fact that some other spanish reporter did that wedding dress thing for Tom Brady - it has now become a spanish-reporters-don't-know-how-to-act-in-America, which I largely find to be a load of crap and a cop out.

Wow....you have "plenty" of pics of EA showing cleavage while she's reporting on the sidelines? I'd really like to see those.....the only pics of EA that are remotely close to anything that Sainz wears are a few where she's at a party or some type of awards show....nothing she (or any other woman reporter) wears on the sidelines is anywhere close to what Sainz wears. Frankly I really don't see how she would expect anything less. I have a 16 year old daughter. If she goes out when she's 23 or 24 wearing the stuff Sainz wears, I'd expect her to be uncomfortable with some of the stuff people may say to her. She has a choice, change clothes or live with it. Unfortunately, it's not only on a football field, it's everywhere...sad, but that's life....and I've been to Mexico....it's MUCH, MUCH worse down there, not sure what she's expecting to happen...but I can't imagine it's much different anywhere she goes, football field or not.

on the sidelines she's much more provocativly dressed than any of the women i mentioned.

I never said she was asking for it (in fact I said, even if she was, it's still wrong). But that she dressed like someone who wouldn't be offended by this type of behavior. I'm not downplaying the severity of these alegations at all. Just trying to rationalize what the guys involved might have been thinking.

What exactly did the players do? All I've heard is that they threw balls close to her so they could get a better look and that a linebacker asked to practice with the DB's so he could get a better look. I don't really classify that as harassing her. Maybe I'm missing something.

That's all I read happened as well. I am sure she gets oogled on a daily basis, so I don't see why it is a big deal now. My guess is the guys were staring at her and making comments were fat, hairy lineman and not pretty boy quarterbacks. Thus, she is offended. Of course, the real truth is this is all about getting her name out there so she can move on from Telemundo or whatever and land the ESPN gig, get invited to do a reality TV show, go on Oprah, write a boook and all the other stuff people do to make cash in the media.

Yeah, the whole how-she-dressed thing is kind of beside the point really. I don't understand what the big deal was with what they said or did. I read that they howled or something when she came in the locker room. She said she wasn't offended and she didn't feel like anything was sexually explicit or whatever, so I'm not sure who originally made a big deal out of it. I know she tweeted that she was embarrassed, but there's a difference between that and calling it harrassment. A lot of people, including her, are probably getting undeserved shots taken at them over it.

Then there is Clinton Portis saying something like, "if a woman sees 53 packages, she's gotta see one she likes".

My wife was appalled, just couldn't believe that she's getting this much attention just for dressing inappropriately, and continuing to dress inappropriately. I'm guessing Jemele Hill is correct that women are more pissed over her than they are over any potential harassment.
