ok then. The only 2 things unbelievable would be someone saying "Eastwood represent" for absolutely zero reason and the amount of "lol"s you used. Good talk, I think.

multiple "lol"s = sarcasm, me thinks--unbeliev.....never mind

anyway, it'll be inetersting to see how this shakes out...unfortunately it's guilty until proven innocent in cases like this, and I hope if it is a misunderstanding it gets resolved, and quickly.

Gville cops love to arrest jocks. If the caller is who I think, she was a Playboy playmate.

I'm well aware these types of things happen to random conferences and teams, but over the long haul, the SEC has the most scums on the planet, and seems to be an almost weekly occurrence in that particular conference.

"I did not want to have him arrested," she said. "When the police came, I signed papers to not press any charges. I don't fear for my safety. ...

Chris and the girl have a 3 year on/off relationship. We'll see what happens when the whole context of the he said / she said comes out. I doubt it gets prosecuted, but that didn't stop Gville cops from arresting a player. In the meantime, it looks real bad, makes Meyer look bad, Chris is out until things are cleared up. He got knocked out of the USF game with a concussion, maybe his head is more dinged up than first thought if he really threatened her. Many Gator fans are already calling for him to be kicked off the team. I'll wait until I know how much of a threat there really was.

Of course she didn't want him arrested. Would you want to be known as the person that got one of the best players on a very good football team kicked off?? She was scared of the reprocussions, which is why she didn't want him arrested.

Either that or they're going through a breakup and want to get back together and everything blew WAY out of proportion.

Or your theory ;)

I'm suprised he was ever able to play. I'm pretty sure he admitted to taking money in high school. Wonder what ever happened to that.

Following Rainey's arrest, Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio said he “is not part of the team right now.”

Well my question is, in the story it says that she does NOT fear for her safety and that's why she didn't want to press charges but the text message she got from him allegedly said "time to die", and she called the cops as soon as she got it. If I'm her and I get that text message and I've called the cops, that means I think the threat is real and that's why I involve the authorities. So either you're scared or your not. Either you believe he had intent to harm you or you don't. You don't get to call the cops and then say "just kidding, I changed my mind".

RedSkinPride, her sister called the cops. And she told them it was not an emergency, she just wanted to diffuse the situation. Chris had gone to her place and texted from outside and wouldn't leave. Then he left, and half hour later sent the stupid text. Its all in how you interpret the texts. 'Time to die' could have been a suicide cry. I heard there was a little more in that text, and he is screwed even though the woman didn't want him arrested.

Is it a theory if she said it??
The alleged victim was also in court with her mother and sister. The woman told Judge Denise R. Ferrero she does not fear Rainey but was concerned about retribution from the public following all the media attention.

All I can say is half were Zook's recruits, and about 5 are bogus. Not this one, but a handful. Fans are frustrated every time.

From Bruce Feldman's article today:
Chris Rainey "Time to Die" T-shirts are already being sold in Knoxville in preparation for this week's game between the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers, and that is a very sad thing, writes Mike Bianchi:

Chris Rainey texting a "Time to Die" threat to his girlfriend is horrible, but some idiot making fun of the situation and trying to make a buck off of it is disgusting as well. Have we reached a point in college football -- and society for that matter -- when it is OK to make light of domestic abuse and death threats against women?
Hey, I'm all for lampooning college or professional athletes who run afoul of the law, but death threats and domestic abuse are not laughing matters.
