Sounds like an admission that what he posts is complete garbage.

Everyone knew Rudy was fabricated. They made Dan Devine the antagonist and he was livid about it.

Basically Disney had an idea, then searched the country to find a place that fit their story so that the movie could be "based on a true story." The then took what really happened to TC Williams and made their story fit around the actual events, with a lot of artistic license. There's a website that the players on that team run to dispel some of the fallacies in the movie. I don't think many of them are happy about how most of the stuff in the film was made up.
Ronnie sunshine bass is most definitely real. Him being gay was made up.

Was he gay in the movie? Some of the guys kind of made fun of him for being gay but I never really thought he actually was?

Ronnie Bass wasn't gay in the movie...after he "kissed" Bertier, Petey was suspicious that he might be, and Bass played along with it for a little while to keep Petey guessing.

I just meant that whole part of the storyline of bass was made up. The rest is true. Hell he was the starting qb for u south Carolina for 2.5 years, of course he was real, lol

Bass went on to play QB at USC. If I recall Julius went on to play at tOSU. The Ray character and the incident involving him intentionally missing blocks were made up. Bertier had a girlfriend but the breakup had nothing to do with race. There are a lot of untruths about the movie.

I'm calling bullshit on this one. I saw one last night. And no, the alcohol and weed played no role in that.

i think most people knew that some of the things in Rudy didn't actually happen but the story kind of fits when they put it all together

I think Montana is just pissed that Hollywood portrayed his coach as a complete jerk who was the final major hurdle in Rudy's journey....This of course not being at all true.

Think if Hollywood made a film that featured Woody Hayes, and absolutely portrayed him in a way that was completely unlike the real life character. Well, I am sure former players and fans would be pissed off at Hollywood as well. And here, Montana is doing the same thing.

I don't think its his bitterness against Rudy the real life character, its his bitterness at Hollywood for making a lie out of Dan Devine. After all, I would bet that most folks look at Dan Devine as a jerk, just from his fictitious portrayal in a movie.

It could be his bitterness over his son being passed on the depth chart by a true freshman also :)
