everything EVERYONE posts on here is complete garbage when you really get down to it. The only difference is some us post a little more accurate garbage from time to time...you, Lotz, Ewok and your fearless leader Knooty, not so much.
Ronnie sunshine bass is most definitely real. Him being gay was made up.krambman;476873 wrote:Sunshine and Louie were characters invented for the film also. Basically Disney had an idea, then searched the country to find a place that fit their story so that the movie could be "based on a true story." The then took what really happened to TC Williams and made their story fit around the actual events, with a lot of artistic license. There's a website that the players on that team run to dispel some of the fallacies in the movie. I don't think many of them are happy about how most of the stuff in the film was made up.

Was he gay in the movie? Some of the guys kind of made fun of him for being gay but I never really thought he actually was?LJ;477196 wrote:Ronnie sunshine bass is most definitely real. Him being gay was made up.

I just meant that whole part of the storyline of bass was made up. The rest is true. Hell he was the starting qb for u south Carolina for 2.5 years, of course he was real, lolvball10set;477225 wrote:Ronnie Bass wasn't gay in the movie...after he "kissed" Bertier, Petey was suspicious that he might be, and Bass played along with it for a little while to keep Petey guessing.

Julius played at a jc and had a career ending injuryLittle Danny;477249 wrote:Bass went on to play QB at USC. If I recall Julius went on to play at tOSU. The Ray character and the incident involving him intentionally missing blocks were made up. Bertier had a girlfriend but the breakup had nothing to do with race. There are a lot of untruths about the movie.
