Another thing, if you guys have room on your hard drives on your 360s you should definitely install the game. For one the xbox is quieter then and you don't wear on your disc drive. But the load times are improved as well.

I must say, I've never been a fan of Forge. I like the competition online and Forge seems like a waste of time to me.

I like it best as well out of the other Halo games.
I'm an objective game type fan, and am liking that playlist. Holograms are great for lulz.

I really the variety it is adding to multiplayer. Halo 3 was great online but Team Slayer got so tiring after a while. This at least lets you have different modes. Also, I like the matchmaking 100x better. Instead of looking for new players every game, it keeps everyone who stays and brings in people that are searching. Halo 3 was retarded that you could only keep the people you were partied with into the next game.

I like messing around and making maps. Forge is nice for all of the fun maps that you can make. But I get how some people wouldn't use/like it. Even if you don't use it though I suggest you load up a custom match or forge game in Forge World. It's insane how big it is.Nate;485069 wrote:I must say, I've never been a fan of Forge. Why do you guys still buy the game online then get mad when it hasn't shipped on time. Seems like it happens every year with NCAA...
What's the advantage of preordering the game online? (Aside to get some special deal)

Most places offer free guaranteed release day delivery as long as you preorder more than three days or so in advance.

I'm gone for work 7:30 - 5:30.....I'm past the point of staying up all night to play video games, and knew that there was no chance of me playing the game until Tuesday night, or possibly not even until the weekend.friendfromlowry;485286 wrote:Why do you guys still buy the game online then get mad when it hasn't shipped on time. Amazon 99 cent release day delivery and no tax already makes it cheaper than in stores, plus I seem to constantly have a $20 game credit from the Amazon preorder specials. I've preordered over a dozen games on Amazon in the last couple years and not once have the failed getting it to me on the release date.

Well I picked it up earlier and messed with the campaign for an hour or two tonight with a buddy. I haven't noticed much difference. Seems like the Hunters are a lot more difficult to take down.
We got to one level where we were flying around with jetpacks which was fun.

You could say that with every video game really.
Mario Brothers, Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto.... Same concepts, new features in every version..
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. What do gamers expect though? If they change the game too much, "it's not like the old one.". If they don't change it, "it's just like the old one.". It's a double edged sword.

It's double-edged sword with a dull blade, though. People will always say 'Oh Halo Reach isn't as good as Halo 1 or 2 or 3; But I still bought it and will beat the campaign a half-dozen times and play online for months on end.'

I'm still not satisfied with the AI teammates. If you're in a warthog and one of them is driving then you're as good as dead. In one level I have the camouflage ability so I'm trying to sneak around and sniper on a post with it but my dumbfuck teammate keeps following me around and blowing my cover.

For some reason, I found this absolutely hilarious.friendfromlowry;486049 wrote:I'm still not satisfied with the AI teammates. AI teammates have never been important. Here's the problem, you have a limited amount of processing power. Why waste it on your teammates instead of using it to make the enemy better? And beyond that, if they made the teammate AI as good as the enemy AI then people would just sit back and let their teammates kill everyone. Which is cheap and actually wouldn't be fun for anyone.
But yeah, never let the AI drive. Ever.

I'd let my fiance drive before I'd let the AI drive.

Finally got it at about noon. Played campaign for about an hour and then hit up multiplayer. Love them both.

Get amazon prime or get it free if you have college email... I love amazon prime and release day delivery. Never has failed me and almost always get some type of credit for buying my games, movies, etc...

So I'm playing through the campaign on Legendary solo and holy shit is it difficult.
I also got to check out a friend of mine's limited edition and I have to say that the journal packed in with it is the single best collectors edition type thing I have ever seen.
