Society I'm not even going to give you the time of day.

I never said he didn't deserve the rights guaranteed under the Constitution. Yes, he should have the right to due process. Criminals simply have MORE rights than the victims and their families. In my post I never once said he shouldn't have any rights, and for you to assume that, well you're the one who's fucking stupid. Go troll another thread man.

Explain to me how criminals have MORE rights than the victims and their families. This just doesn't make sense.

Example.

Criminal agrees to a plea deal for murder, rape, kidnapping and robbery. After sentencing and a few years in prison, criminal files appeal to revoke plea agreement. Criminal goes to trial, found guilty and is sentenced. 6 years and THREE sentencing appeals later, a 4th such appeal is filed with the Ohio Supreme Court. The family and prosecution wanted the death penalty, yet they get no appeal. That's how they have more rights. It's all about if HIS rights were violated.

By the way, I have no problem debating this with you if you keep it civil. If you start being an asshole in any way at all, I'm finished with it.

Your example makes it sound like rights of all involved are dealt with legally. Where is the injustice?

Which is why, IMO, the legal system is a joke. I guess you have to go through it to truly understand.

If anything at all, you should care about this because it's your tax dollars paying for countless hearing, trials, transportation, etc.

And that ^^ you just spouted off, is the biggest problem in this country. Because of shit like that, people aren't afraid to kill other people anymore, especially in this country, because they know the same won't happen to them. They'll sit in prison, appeal 50+ times and die of old age instead of getting what they should get.

Maybe we should get off of our high horse and stop worrying about what's "modern and appropriate" and worry about what is RIGHT, god forbid. Common sense would dictate that, but just like justice for a heinous crime, that went out the window a long time ago.

This bastard will sit in prison for the rest of his life, on our dime. The legal system that was set up to protect the rights of Americans is a damn joke. If you commit a crime, you have all the rights in the world. If you're the victim, no one talks about you. Bullshit. My family just got ANOTHER appeal in the mail today, so we'll be heading back to court soon. What a joke.

What is your case about?
