3:10 @ Coors

Reds need to win 2 of these 4 games to keep momentum. Gotta face Ubaldo Jimenez and we are pitching Harang.

The Rockies are tough in September and especially at home...they are still in the playoff race......this series has scared me for a while.....2 would be great.

Make Ubaldo throw a lot of pitches!

A split would be nice.

Who will be pitching in the series?

Harang
Cueto
Arroyo
Wood

If so, a split is definitely attainable.

I can't wait.

They were talking about Cairo being practiced in the OF.......I'd thing Janish would cover as much or more ground and display a better arm for the OF......this being said...we need hot swinging Bruce back

Harang sucks, if this is gonna be a loss I hope he gets rocked and Volquez is back for the Pirates series. I actually think that's what will happen.

Reds Lineup:

Phillips 4
Heisey 9
Votto 3
Gomes 7
Francisco 5
Hernandez 2
Stubbs 8
Janish 6
Harang 1

Going against Jimenez I can see Francisco getting a strikeout every time up the way he swings at every pitch..... No Rolen or Cabrera today, who are two of your most patient hitters against a NL Cy Young candidate could be very costly today.

I'd be cool with a split although that STL series leaves a sour taste. How many oppurtunities can they waste, they need every run in Colorado.

This is a practical for sure loss unless our bats are out from the very first pitch and divine intervention occurs. Harang vs Jiminez is laughable.. We are so screwed.

Cabrera is patient? Most of his big hits are very early in the count.

Hanigan is patient

Reds rock another Cy Young candidate.

Josh Johnson? Check.
Adam Wainwright? Check.
Ubaldo Jimenez? ....

Out of 123 NL players with over 300 plate appearances....Orlando Cabrera is dead last in pitches per at bat

Wainwright rocked?

Ubaldo has been throwing real well lately, hopefully this is a quick game.

My dad is at the Dragons game and texted me saying Volquez looks real good.

Gomes didn't get much "drag" on the first leg down after the catch on the attempted slowing skid. Could have been outfield in trouble right there and forced a 40 man roster move before tomorrow.

Stubbs fails to continue the "leather". I think the high elevation got him!

I don't think from 340 ft away Stubbs could tell how hard that ball was hit...on tv and catcher and pitcher knew. It's a tough play and Stubbsis not good at it.

Announcers know they have a tight calling strike zone group and Reds hack at everything....awesome adjustments.

With these late summer games with sunny skies with most fields laid out with home plate to the south, the fly balls the last few days have been a real challenge!

Reds are so freaking stubborn with swinging at the 1st pitch. I would never throw them a 1st pitch fastball for a strike.

At least St. Louis is losing, but it's early and still a close game.
