Obviously it is still early... but yes Robinson is by far the front runner.

DR- 430 pass yds, 1 TD, 455 rushing yards 3 TD = 885 total yards

TP- 480 pass yds 4 TD, 130 rushing yards 1 TD = 610 total yards.

I'm not saying Robinson will win it, but you have to give him the nod at this point. And before you say anything about the competition, consider that Ohio State plays the vaunted Bobcats of Ohio University and then an Eastern Michigan squad that went 0-12 last year. You have to disregard TP's stats the next few weeks if you want to play the "how tough is his competition?" card

The big stat will be TP is 12-0 and DR will be 7-5.

what part of currently do you not understand?

really...we are comparing frontrunners for heisman in week 2? It will be the same ol Michigan as last year. Beat a couple scrubs then start crying "Forcier for Heisman" or this year its "Shoelacefor Heisman". It will be the same thing as last year. They will finished 7-5 at best

And Gibby. Where was Miami's "speed". And please dont try to make a case about the officials..OSU had their 1st TD called back on a weak holding penalty. When Miami returned the kickoff for a touchdown, there was a clear block in the back no call

I thought Pryor won this year's Heisman after last year's Rose Bowl?

Not sure where you get that from? OSU has the better running game. This gave OSU the edge.
tk421;479917 wrote:I'm pretty sure Miami plays/practices more in the rain than OSU.
Which makes them better in it? Hardly.
tk421;479986 wrote:Man, stop throwing interceptions! Wow, Miami is killing themselves in this game.
Or maybe OSU's defense is just that good. Did you see the hits the DB's were putting on the Miami receivers? NAsty!
tk421;479988 wrote:without these picks, Miami is winning this game. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

LOL, yeah ok. Without the special teams TD's OSU is blowing Miami out.

ccrunner609;480135 wrote:Bucks should be ranked #1 and TP has to be in the lead for the heisman
Slow down there buddy. The Bucks are right where they should be and Pryor is not even a top 5 right now. Needs to work on his short passes and better decision making.
Big Gain;480171 wrote:Not to worry, Harris is a turnover machine. He's WAY ahead of last years pace when he had 14 INTs. Heisman candidate??? LOL
He had more than 14. He had 17 or 19. Can't remember which number but it's one of them.
Ty Webb;480190 wrote:Um no...not till Alabama loses and Denard Robinson has to be No.1 on every Heisman Ballot

Refs tried to screw Miami at every turn...but it didn't matter as they didn't play well enough to win

Ohio State did not look very strong today....Miami pretty much gift-wrapped this game for them

Ohio State did not win this game....Miami lost it
Gift wrapped? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. OSU's defense dialed Miami's offense. Picking passes off, knocking the snot out of the Miami receivers. Dominating the LOS. This game was won by the Buckeyes DEFENSE!
Ty Webb;480207 wrote:Why would I be jealous....my team won 38-14

Again...Ohio State did not win this game....Miami lost it

You have to play a 100% perfect game to win at Ohio State....because you aren't going to get shit in terms of calls
Refer to my above response to your other clueless post. Also, USC played far from perfect last year and still beat the Bucks. The fact is Miami was not nearly as good as OSU this year. It showed as the Miami offense couldn't do shit. Miami had the better special teams and that is it.
Ty Webb;480249 wrote:I agree....but they can't play the way they did today and beat Iowa,Wisconsin, and maybe even Michigan
Why? I'll give you that @Iowa and @Wisky will be tougher than this Miami game, but Michigan is doing exactly what they did last season. A come from behind in the last minute win over Notre DAme (who is not a worl beater) and now people think Michigan is back? Let's wait and see if Robinson is this impressive when he is playing teams that know how to play defense. When 1 man is your offense, that doesn't say much. Also, 500 yards by 1 guy and they only score 28 points?
Ty Webb;480271 wrote:No jackass...I was born half an hour from Gainsville....maybe you should learn what you're talking about before you speak

Good advice, you should heed it because you clearly know very little about college football.

I agree that Robinson has had impressive numbers, and if he continues to do so he will be a frontrunner. IMO, the reason is is because he wasn't mentioned in the pre-season watch list, therefore he needs to work his way up the ladder. That being said, Pryor WAS mentioned, and has been impressive against two worthy opponents, as has Case Keenum, Kellen Moore & Ryan Mallett, amomg others...just sayin'

Dwccrew--you are correct on Harris' 2009 interceptions, as well as Ty Webb being a prick--well played

Please don't start this shit. Oh wait...we heard this last year as well with Forcier!! lol Two whole games. Pryor is 21-3 as a starter and OSU has beaten 4 top 15 teams in their last 6 games. Robinson has been VERY impressive in the last 2 games, no question. But it takes more then two games to earn anything. UConn and ND are far from world beaters.

Robinson has been impressive, you cant deny that. Lets see how he does against some Big 10 defenses in the cold weather. The kid weighs 185 lbs, I dont see him making it through a Big 10 season running the ball 25 times a game.

lol now the cold weather argument is being applied to Big Ten teams not named Ohio State? Come on. Robinson is a stud, how you can say anything else is beyond comprehension.

Time will tell how much of a stud Robinson is. I wish I could've saved all the posts from last season touting Forcier as the Second Coming--remember, those who forget history are doomed to repeat it ;)

karen, what'd you make of Kelly's post game comments regarding Shoeloace?

To me, it seemed like Kelly realizes how "fragile" Shoelace seems to be, but was incredulous at the fact that his defense pounded Robinson time and time again and he kept just going.

Bucks fans, it's easy to say he won't hold up simply because he's skinny, but really, do Big Ten defenses hit any harder than any other defenses? Maybe OSU/Iowa, but as a whole, I'd say it's impossible to make a distinction.

The ACC will officially now supplant the Big East as the worst AQ BCS conference as the Buckeyes have a quality win against it's premier contender. You can already see the writing on the wall.

Where did I say it doesnt apply to Ohio State? I'm simply saying thats a heavy load for somebody to carry all season long. Robinson has looked very good against two average at best defenses. I'm not sold yet. If he does this through the entire season then I will change my mind. Forcier did the same stuff last year. Lets give it more than 2 games.

I haven't really seen/read anything from Kelly other than the on field comments directly after the game and I don't recall much of that either.

Robinson did take a few shots yesterday and took himself off the field after one but it was only for one play. I still think RichRod is going to have to find a way to not have Robinson run the ball 25 times a game, but while he is healthy and running for 200+ a game, how can he do anything different?
