Whod take Dane/ Posey Heron/Saine over Julio/Maze Ingram/Richardson....its not really close. Not to say OSU doesnt have talent, Posey is probably a top 5 WR in the nation this year IMO

No one would, but that's not my argument. I'd take Posey right along with the WR combo from Bama. Posey is a very good WR that has put up good stats, more TD's than Jones with 25+ less catches. Obviously Ingram is better than any RB in the nation. But Saine isn't a slouch and he'll show people this year what he can do when he is healthy. The speed burst is back imo and he'll have a solid year.

You just mentioned ND's name in the same post, genius. Notre Dame had a top 10 offense in the country last year. I didn't go through and find every 50+ yard pass play, but at a first glance, they had 4 players with at least one 50+ yard TD catch. Notre Dame does have the ability, you are just so far up Ohio State's ass you choose not to acknowledge it.

So ND has the ability to hit the long ball or go straight to the ground game and churn out long drives? I don't think so. They are a passing team, running the spread offense.

devil you are amusing to discuss sports with. You talk the same way about OSU football that you did about LeBron and the Cavs. I haven't seen you on here much since July 8th. Where you backpacking through Europe without internet access?

ND ran the ball 36 times against a Big Ten defense that held OSU's vaunted attack in check last year. They averaged 4.2 yards per carry, with the two RBs averaging a pedestrian 8.3 and 5.2 yards per carry. 26 passes were thrown. Please don't speak about things you have no clue about.

Ok, couple things, did you read what I added from the Purdue game? And you said they are a spread passing team this year, do last years numbers when they were a pro style offense mean anything?

Ohio State was #102 in passing yards per game and #18 in rushing yards per game...That proves they have the ability alright doesn't it?

They ran it 36 times, put up a whopping 23 points but yet couldn't sustain any drive over 4 minutes long? That's great you had 4.3 ypc, but that still puts you outside the Top 50 last year in rushing. Add in the fact that you have a first timer at QB and those rushing attempts will rise.

Right, OSU averaged 4.5 for the year last year, tied for 43rd. I already mentioned where they were throwing the ball.



And you said ND was a spread passing team. Drive times will be shorter because they don't huddle and usually snap the ball with well over 10 seconds on the play clock. Please try to have a clue before posting.

Yes, it actually proves that they have the ability to strike deep. Both Bama and OSU didn't have a consistent passing game last year that put up a lot of numbers, but when they hit passing plays they were usually big ones.

OSU/Miami should be a good game on Saturday. Hopefully both teams play hard, my man.

Dude, face it you dislike OSU and its okay. Most people do, why because its called jealousy. OSU is a very good football team that has the ability to strike down field within seconds or take 7+ minutes off the clock with the ground and pound. The only slight against OSU right now is special teams, but overall this offense and defense will carry the Buckeyes.

I believe you saw on Thursday what the offense is going to do, there is no doubting that. OSU will run Saine, try to hit the deep ball with the WR's, and just do the normal routes. But what I think the Buckeyes hid was their aggressive defense for next Saturday. I believe you'll see several different blitz packages utlizing our fast LB's and Moeller off the edge. First of all I dislike both Miami and OSU for their arrogant fans. Miami talks about how they "owned" college football in the 80's 90's and early 2000's, they remind they can make a U with their hands. OSU fans talk about how they are the best program in the world, but can only point to one national title in the past 30 years, and they won on a call that was questionable to say the least.

Miami's offense did the same thing Thursday night and no one is talking about that. And don't give me that FAMU would get crushed by Marshall BS> Marshall's dbs weren't even making plays on the ball, nor were the FAMU defenders. Both teams offense scored on their on will against far less talented Defense. OSU is not going to dominate this game unless Miami suffers some injuries during tis game.

and you went to college where? I feel like that is extremely important at this point.

Notre Dame fans want to run around and talk smack, yet their team hasn't backed it up in YEARS. It's like the guy who brags he has the fastest car in the city, but he hasn't won a race since the 80's. Sure everyone respects what he has done in the past, but everyone also thinks he is an idiot for bragging about doing absolutely nothing.

Oh man, I just gagged and I'm a Buckeye fan. haha

But yeah, I think it is pretty obvious as to what LHSGUY is doing. I don't think anybody who is trying to be serious would use that talking point (Miami has the speed). Ohio State gets people drafted into the league each and every year. You have to be fast to play in the NFL. Over the past 3-4 years Ohio State has had many more draft picks make it to the league than Miami has.

Who cares how long it takes you to score? As long as you are scoring, it doesn't matter. I don't understand this argument at all. Notre Dame runs the spread, hurry up offense. Naturally their scoring drives aren't going to take long. Look at Cincy last year. Statistically they had one of the better offenses in the nation, however their time of possession was very short compared to teams who huddle and run HB dives 3-4 times a drive.
