The defensive secondary is going to have to play alot better this week then they did against Marshall. Also the defense as whole will have to tackle alot better in space, and gang tackle the Miami skilled positions. The front 4 is going to have to put pressure on Harris, he can't sit back there and have all day to find a open receiver. Defense is going to win or lose this game in my eyes.

Is Miami going to bring 6 space heaters up here like they did for the Wisconsin game?

OSU should win this game with ease, however, with the unpredictablility of a dual threat quarterback, speed that matches or passes OSU at many matchups, and the U playing with a chip on their shoulder, the game will be a close nail-biter with OSU winning in the end.

Now that is a quality thesis statement.....

Umm read what Tressel and Heacock have said about him for the past 6 months. You think they're putting all their effort into getting past the Canes D? Hell no they're trying to figure out how to deal with Jacory with a healthy O line.

Awesome video. Read in a Florida paper that some Miami players have seen that youtube link.

yes sir, and I'm sure that is the only thing they are worried about...whereas Miami is probably shitting themselves on how to stop pryor, contain Saine, and get points on the board against our defense. I'll take OSU in this one

That's exactly what Miami is trying to do contain Pryor and stop Herron. Thank god Ohio State's not coached by Ohio State fans.

Didn't know you played on Ohio States D since they're "your" defense. Or perhaps you just coach them.

Miami was banged up that game. Cooper their RB was hurt, Jacory had a bad arm, 3 OL were out, 2 DT's injured and also their best Linebacker. That was not the same Miami team Ohio State will face now.

Apparently, Automatik didn't watch this game.

IF Ohio State doesn't control the speed rush from Miami...it will be a long day for Ohio State

Miami 28
Ohio State 21

Beyond the x's and o's, I saw a certain swagger in the OSU team on Thursday that I hadn't seen in a long time. They will have to play with that swagger week in and week out to meet their ultimate goal of a national title. Miami used to have it. Let's hope they (OSU) bring it on Saturday. Confidence is wonderful thing.

Go Bucks!

Im curious as to why OSU fans think that Jacory Harris will be hit repeatedly ect...Hes not a scrambling QB and OSU didnt really effectively rush the Marshall QB what makes you think theyll get in on Miami's EASILY superior offensive line(in comparison to Marshall).

Forgot to quote Vballset when i posted that, oops

well one thing to point out is that osu used an extremely vanilla defense against marshall. The D-line didn't stunt once. Also Nate Williams should be back, which improves the d-line rush ability by a lot.

True forgot about Williams. Idk maybe they run more stunts and what not against Miami, It just looked ilket hey struggled to pressure Marshall to me when i watched.

Cam was getting a good push, but they were really vanilla and rotated a lot of guys constantly. it remains to be seen, but with Williams back, the starters getting more reps, and more stunts and such called, I think they will have better luck. Plus, Marshall went with a lot of quick passes, as the Marshall QB only had 4.8 YPA

The number that will win this game for OSU is 24, assuming they play well on D. That is the absolute least amount of points they can score and still hope for a W. Miami will score 3 TDs. I think OSU can win, but it will take a good performance from 3 groups: The back end D (Miami goes deep...a lot... like once a drive at least), The defensive front (hit harris, and you just may rattle him or even hurt his girlish frame-- this is one of the main reasons Clemson beat them on the road last year), and Pryor and the receiving corps. If Miami starts hitting bombs, Pryor has to be calm and hit his own to keep pace.

I would call it even money on neutral field, but at home I give OSU 7 points, and I expect the final to be in the 28-21 range for the Bucks. Maybe 35-28

Bucks did not show a thing this past Thursday night that they did not want to. I am sure Tress was playing everything a little "vanilla" keeping any wrinkles they have off of tape that Miami would be able use.

IDK why OSU fans think Jacory's going to get beat up either. The only time Jacory got beat up last season was with a thin offensive line. Jacory is very tough too. He took 2 bad hits last season but played through both of them and led Miami on a comeback against FSU when he was hit in the arm.

But as many point out on this board Heacock and Tressel aren't too worried about Jacory.
