Reds are just going up there and swinging at everything Carpenter throws now... they were working him early in the game but now just looks like they wanna hurry up and get the game over with.

The Braves lose in the 10th after tying it in the 5th with five runs, culminated by a rare 2 RBI sacrifice fly by McClouth.

I may be wrong on this, but I don't believe the Cardinals have given up the lead to the Reds in any game this season after they got the lead.

Well, the Reds won they one the needed to in StL, but I'd have liked to have seen today's game progress from where Holliday hit the game deciding HR if Bailey would have thrown the slider, or would have thrown that last fastball out of the zone rather than in!

Fucking ego threw that 1-2 fastball. The right pitch was down and away with a slider just like Hannigan wanted. How many times does this kid have to think he knows better than the guy catching him and it gets tagged for him to learn?

It didn't matter what pitch...location, location, location

Homer missed over the middle instead of missing outside the zone.....the fastball 3 inches outside would've been fine on 1-2

You just can't miss in the stirke zone to the good of the batter. Homer threw so few poor pitches...but sometimes it just takes one.

I don't think his ego was the problem.....his focus was

He shook him off twice though before throwing the fastball. He has done the same thing several times this season too. I agree though that location is the most important part, but he shouldn't have gone anywhere near the plate.

Yeah....he shouldn't be doing much shaking off.

Throw the wrong pitch outside the zone and it hurts nothing.....throw the perfect pitch over the middle of the plate....well that makes it perfect for the hitter
