::: ahem! :::

Its the greedy bastards that want to keep it all ( in the family) when larger amounts are involved. And as all know, a progressive system is fairer to those with far less while only taking more from those who can easily afford more. They also have been granted rights that make capital grow easier to achieve with tax write-offs & breaks and enjoy ther protection ( military) that govt affords them to grow their businesses, give them "special" consideration in legislation for benefit of their situation and even provide them govt money to assist with their business. But, the greedy bastards don't want share one dime........................................... unless its for their benefit. Thus , call it a death tax, raise hell that you can't give all $50 million to the kids and starve that damn govt who gave you all the special treatment & protection you got to make those millions .

Let them eat cake.

Learn it till you L.O.V.E. it!!!!

Please, it is now up to the unemployed, there are jobs out there:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/2010-09-04-solis04_ST_N.htm

I have no idea what this woman is smoking. Training doesn't create jobs....jobs necessitate training. I hate the way she writes as well...too informal for a cabinet head. This administration is getting worse and worse by the day....who can defend this incompetence?

Jobless recoveries are now a way of life in America. It has been that way for over a decade now. I am not sure why people are shocked no one is creating jobs as this has been the trend for a while now.

I'm more shocked at the writing skills of the SOL. If you haven't read the article do it, it was all over the place (BTW the website she mentions isn't even up yet - as if it matters, she's never heard of Monster, Careerbuilder, Hotjobs, etc?). Too much BS anecdotal information and too little substance....the woman is a buffoon.

We can't really comment on your situation Belly because we don't know what your product/stage of development it's in or who you've talked to about the matter.

The situation sounds unfortunate from what you've said though. Hopefully it works out soon and you find some investers or something.

Good luck, Belly....seriously. It's folks like yourself who are the true "hope and change" this country needs.

It certainly isn't $870 Billion in bogus government porkulus spending allegedly designed to keep unemployment from getting higher than 8%, no 9%, now approaching 10%. It worked so well the first time they're actually looking at doing it again.

I wonder what you could have done if the Dynamic Socialist Trio had given your business $250,000 in true stimulus? Strike that...they'd up your taxes because you make too much and then over-regulate you.

No investors or partners I been down the route ..never again
I’ll do this on my own and when I hit that success....many of those who I came to for help and the creation of jobs and they failed to support me will be identified as just what they are ...not entrepreneur, businessmen or risk takers ….just good old political hack with no balls or not skin in the game….

This is what small businesses do ...take risks ..... and create jobs with determination

Sorry you've had problems with investors but it is a pretty common way to get funding for a company/product.

Hopefully everything does work out. And like you said, the people who said no to you can feel stupid then.

I'm going to actually go out on a limb and cut Bam a break on the recent uptick in the UE number. Private sector did actually add a few jobs. The uptick is due to an increase in the number of people who got back in to actively looking, due to the modest increase in hiring.

What may seem as not having a life because of your entitlement mentality is a perfect example of something you don’t possess … goals, ambition, self-pride and determination.

That is a lofty and proud goal

Third shift: Is that a Union shop with the Union entitlement mentality that many of you Union membership are to stupid to recognize.
Could you please provide the type of Industry or Manufacturing you work for? Reasoning is I know of only a few companies that still have the ability to provide a third shift presently.

As a working labor I respect that …..Because early in my working career I to was on a labor gang in the still mills. However I quickly learned that the Union Leadership and Organization was not in my best interest by their power and salaries…not mine.

I’m a working own of two business I wear no suit or tie, I avoid my desk as much as possible, I do the same work that I would expect from my employees, physical labor is a every day event and so is sales calls, problem solving, meeting, travel from my family, finanical responsiblities, pay roll and continuous phone conversations. I do sometime have to sit a my desk but I prefer not to...

How is the fact that people had stopped looking for jobs and therefore fell off the unemployment rate number calculation radar..."ok"? They were still jobless/unemployed, they just weren't included in the 9.5% or whatever it is now because they had stopped looking.

In other words since they started looking the UE number is slightly closer to "real" unemployment.

Ah, here we go, a manual labor (probably union) guy insinuating that office people don't work as hard as they do.

We've heard it all before, go cry a river.
