TMG...I would want nothing to do with Bob Stoops...all he has proven to be is a massive choke artist

Really? Which coaches have done more in the past 11 seasons than him?

I do, but that doesn't mean I don't think he can't coach...and maybe his heart problems have made him a little more amiable--who knows??

so you can only come up with 2 that have done more than the "massive choke artist"? Tressell is debatable as well.

I will withhold judgment until some OSU fans come on here and present their case.

Pete Carroll
Frank Beamer
Chris Peterson
Mack Brown

Would you like me to keep going? I would take every one of those I have mentioned over Stoops, and most likely alot more

If Jim Tressel could no longer coach at Ohio State...my short list would include:

Mack Brown
Pat Fitzgerald
Bo Pelini

In that order.

The Defensive Coordinator from AZ is looking pretty attractive this Monday morning.

Not really Stanzi is a douche and sucks on a regular basis. He just has his moments. His backup is much better. I would put Bo Pelini at the top of my list with Nick Saban this morning.

One of the better lists I've seen. Mine would probably have the same 3, but in reverse order.

How old is Mack Brown? I think he's a great coach and very similar to Tressel in a lot of ways, but I'd say the chances of him leaving Texas are about equal to the chances of Jessica Biel calling me for a booty call tonight...

I agree with Gibby, except maybe the Beamer part, they all have multiple BCS bowl wins, something im pretty sure stoops hasnt done in the past 11 years

I actually agree with that^^^ that_guy

But Brown is a pipe dream at best and he is a older than most but a hell of a coach. Pellini would be my first choice followed by Fitz. The thing about Fitz though is he's a Northwestern grad and really has passion for the program and his efforts might not translate as well somewhere else, could be wrong about that but that's my gut feeling.
