It'll depend on which UT team shows up. We know what BG has (Barnes). If Opelt plays at full strength, I like UT's chances. Otherwise I think it's a toss-up.

A guy in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a good Bowling Green joke?"

The guy next to him replies, "Well before you tell that joke, you should know something. I'm 6' tall, 200 lbs., and I am a BG grad. The guy sitting next to me is 6' 2" tall, weighs 225, and he's a BG grad. And the fella next to him is 6' 5" tall, weighs 250, and he's a BG grad. Now, you still wanna tell that joke?"

General Schwarzkopf was walking through the desert during the Gulf War when he found a lamp on the ground. He picked it up, rubbed, and out came a genie.

The genie said to the General, "I will grant you one wish."

The General replied, "I wish that we will win this war. Here is a map of the desert and all the war parties. Please make us win the war."

The genie responded, "I'm not that powerful of a genie. I cannot grant you that wish."

"Well," the General responds, "then can you have Bowling Green win a bowl game this year?"

The genie thinks for a moment, then says, "Let me see that map again."

When is the game? One of the best ever games I saw live was '04 in the glass bowl vs. BGSU, almost left early it was getting so ugly...then Bruce and the rockets had a huge comeback and won it. Amazing game.

benny i was at that one too. it was about 20 degrees if i remember correctly. that was before espn ruined the rivalry and moved it to friday afternoon.

that game ranks 3rd for me behind the marshall championship game and the pitt game.

this game is 2pm friday but not televised, in bg.

^I was at that game too. That was when I went to BG and they had Omar. That was the greatest 4 1/2 hourse of freezing to death in my life.

I went to UT and gotta admit that made me laugh...how could i forget the Pitt game? Man, that game was unreal. That BG game is a close second though for me.

Bowling Green is a shithole and a waste of space. I hate that school more than all others combined.

I hate BG, and I go there. This school has screwed me over so many times it isn't even funny. The administration could give two shits about the students here.

I've been a BG fan since I was a kid, but I must admit that I liked "Drums of War's" BG joke. I still think that BG will win this year's battle, but it's still a funny little story. It is a fact however, that this has always been one of those games that you can't always logically predict. Anything can, and often has happened in this time-honored rivalry.

The game was originally scheduled to air on ESPN, but it has since been pulled. Any news locally up there why? They show this game EVERY year. If no ESPN coverage, why the hell is it on Friday afternoon?
