Thanks? I will go by what happened in the regular season though to draw conclusions and honestly OG not only beat Kenton but held them to just 20 points. Now Kenton went into that game averaging 58 PPG against Van Wert, Shawnee and Coldwater where they put up a lowly 50. Kenton may very well be the team to come out of Region 16 and OG beat them. OG right now is the favorite to win

This is the kind of stuff that got us all ticked off about the Genoa posters last year. How can you possible make a statement like that after 4 games of a season. Have you seen all the teams in the region,,,no/ have you scouted all the teams in the region...no. I will give you that OG should be a very good football team this year based on their returning players....but you cannot possible have any idea how they will fare in the region? EC is flying high, Genoa tough again again, Orrville returned a ton of kids, I mean...come on... really. How can you make that call?

I can make that call because I have critical thinking skills. I mean going by your logic Orrville and the rest of the Ohio's Crappiest Conference will probably make the playoffs and lose by 30 in the first game. It's only been four games so how do I know if your conference and opponents aren't just a bunch of hot air? See what I just did? Made the same argument u just made

So beating a Coldwater team who's playing this season in the memory of one of the greatest coaches in Ohio by 16 in the season opener means nothing huh? I hope Ottawa Glandorf shows you whats up like they did last year

Ok let me clear this up.... I have been talking about Ottawa Glandorf and their schedule. Never once have I referenced Genoa yet you all are talking about the SLL. You all need to comprehend my statements

Do you all understand why I said the Ohio Crappy Conference? See I guess I overestimated the intelligence of people in Orrville. Anyways I said Ottawa Glandorf looks like the team to beat as they have looked great all year including a huge win in a tough game against Kenton. Then BRF said I can't make the statement that Ottawa Glandorf looks like the elite team because they beat Kenton and I have not scouted them and there has only been four games. Hopefully you all are with me still. Then I said that well if that's how we're gonna EVALUATE things then I mean how can we come to the assumption that the OCC is really a good conference? No s*** it's a good conference loaded with a lot of good playoff teams. Kenton has been performing at a high level including a big win over Coldwater. I do not think you Orrville people understand how good Matt Mauk is...honestly prolly the best QB in Ohio

Reasons that Ottawa Glandorf appears to be THE favorite from the first 4 games:
-Great defense that just shut down the best offense in D4...is lead by 8 senior starters
-They totally control the tempo of the game and that's what the great teams do
-Kenton's QB is a great leader and field general and they messed him with their defensive schemes. I mean if they confused him what could they do to every QB in this region

I have done my research and paid attention to what's going on. Ha the worst part about it is I'm not even talking about my Comets. Really read my posts before you comment because you all actually look ignorant. Ok go ahead say something about the fact you beat Genoa by 1 or how Greg did something bad last year, or that clip on Dufendock that you all pride yourselves on. Come on I'm waiting

If you would read what I qouted you about...."The Ohio's Crappiest Conference", and you being from Genoa who is in the SLL I wanted you to see which league was the "Crappy" one.

Hmm. Well I think Triway is a darkhorse in this region, as well as (Insert SBC team here) Mainly because (Insert SBC team here) Has a rough road ahead because that conference is tougher than usual with Clyde(D3), Edison, Huron, and Port Clinton all possible champs. Not to mention Oak Harbor is playing well. They will definately be ready for any hardship a team in Region 14 may give them. Perosnally, that SBC team will be Huron, but I've seen crazier things happen- out of that conference even. I emphasize the imortance of "Darkhorse" because Ottawa Glandorf was that imo last season, you could argue Genoa was the year before, and Marion Pleasant wasn't exactly the region favorite in 07'.

Sorry, I mixed up Lakota and Northwood, who have both left the conference....I wonder why?

What kind of team is Kenton?? They PASS THE BALL EVERY PLAY, and when they do decide to run it, it is just a QB run. That is not an offense that will get you very far. Sure it has worked for some teams in the past, but usually those state championship teams can do both run AND pass.... and do BOTH extremely well. Also, how good is Kenton's defense?? They are giving up an average of 25 points a game. How far is that going to get them in the playoffs? Plus they have only played 1 team with a winning record....and lost. Is Matt Mauk good....yes absolutely. Is he the entire team.....Yes. You take him away or out of the game and have NO DOWN LINEMAN as your defensive scheme (which is what O-G did) you are going to win! Who has O-G played? The combined record of those schools is 3-13!!! Yes they have only given up 8 points a game, but look who they are playing. They barely squeeked out a win against the only team with a winning record. I do think O-G though is the favorite right now in this region, with EC being 2nd.

Oh and Matt Mauk is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like his brother Ben, who I have seen 3 times in the playoffs!


Can we put to rest LAST YEARS game between us... Orrville is way over that game, Genoa fans stop bringing it up and MOVE ON PLEASE! It will save all this BS that we have to keep harping with each other about.

To be honest, neither Lakota nor Northwood are in the SLL. They both left because they couldn't compete in not only football, but in all sports across the board. I hope you weren't insinuating they left so they could join a more competitive league.

Karen, but from 03-09 Lakota was in the league... that is why I had them on the list. I did not include this year. On the original list I looked up, it had them both, then when I posted on here, I forgot that Northwood left in 2000, and Lakota left last year.

Fair enough. Either way they both left because they weren't competitive.
