I hate picking games like this with huge spreads, especially when a moderately conservative team like OSU is favored. They could get up 21 and call off the dogs or the defense could score 3 touchdowns and they win by 49.

I think Marshall may play us pretty tough. Doc Holliday should get that program headed in the right direction.

I'll say yes, and I almost never go with the spread when OSU is involved--this team is on a mission, and they want to get out of the gate fast and strong...OSU 35 Marshall 3

No, OSU always plays a little conservative against the non-conference games at the beginning of each season. Remember the last game against Navy? 13-31, Ohio State

Highly doubt it IMO. I say they win 31-10

I don't think so, but it won't be 2004.

OSU does play down to their competion a lot more than they should, but Marshall sucks pretty bad. A better bet would be taking OSU in the 1st half. You never know what will happen with backups in.

I actually think OSU has traiditionally covered the spread with Tressel as coach. I believe they went over 12 games in a row at one point where they beat the spread.

Ill go with no. Seems like OSU never plays that great the first game, on top of that Marshall isn't that bad of a team, didnt they win a bowl game last year?

we won't cover.

We'll get out to a lead and hopefully have the game in hand, then Tress will start playing some pups to get their feet wet in a collegiate environment.

Ohio State went 9-4 ATS last season, and is 65-47-1 under J. Tressel...

I don't like 28, anything under I would feel more comfortable, but the odds are in their favor to cover.

Yes, they beat Ohio U in a bowl last year and finished 7-6.

Tressel Ball will be in effect. Won't cover the spread.

I didn't think they'd cover the 44-point spread last year against New Mexico State, but they exploded to win 45-0.

That said, I will never bet spreads again after that.

In 2006 and 2007 I believe that OSU covered every spread except for the losses to Florida and Illinois, and when you lose the point spread doesn't matter when you were favored.

Normally I say no, but I think this offense will be hard for tressel to slow down. I see a couple of big late runs by Berry or Hall in the 4th to make it 42 - 13
