Rotinaj, I didn't buy into it either until I watched the Champs Sports Bowl.
The game took place in 50 degree Orlando. It was Miami versus Wisconsin. At gametime, the temperature in Miami was around 81 and the temperature in Madison was I believe around 19 or 20.
During the game, the Wisconsin players treated 50 degree weather like vacation, everyone wearing short sleeves. Miami, on the other hand, acted like they were playing in Alaska with everyone decked out in long sleeve cold gear, including their fans who were souped up in hoodies.
Miami played slowww that game and got beat down physically by Wisconsin.
I didn't buy into the whole cold weather argument until that game. I know 1 game is an extremely small sample size, but I think it's a pretty good representation of how southern schools react to colder climates, IMO.
