Follow with me, a national story was speculated about by a bunch of people at least a hundred miles away from it. It was explained by someone who is at Notre Dame and knows the actor involved. He is ridiculed. He defends himself. Hmmmm, looks like I'm a db, sorry for giving you guys info

By what standards are you "a pretty successful individual..."? Are you the asst. night mgr at a convenience store or are you a line crew supervisor at a chicken rendering plant?

Seriously, why would you punch your starting QB who is possibly the best QB in the country this year?
Yeah, you would just leave the punching to your coach Woody Hayes...

And you guys are morons to think that with the football team spread out amongst the 14 guy dorms on a campus with around 10,000 students that they're not going to fit in with the student body like normal people. This ain't Ohio State or Toledo, you run into these guys all the time.

It says that if Jimmy really cared about losing he would have been home upset, depressed. Obviously he didnt care. He was out with his parents and then hit the bar scene.

I understand college kids go to bars, but after a loss that probably just finished off your coach, you would think he would feel bad for his coach.

Wow, you're delusional.

Athletes have lives, dude. What do you want him to do? Go to Charlie's house and suck him off to make him feel better?

Do I stalk Ohio State threads like you stalk ND threads? Hell no, that's a joke. I think you're a closet ND fan. Welcome aboard dude, no need to be shy. You obviously spend more time reading ND posts. All the ND fans will chip in and get a hat and a hardy handshake. Go you
Oh no, you labeled me a closet Notre Dame fan! Now what can I do!?!?

You're right, I didn't come on this thread to see why Clausen was sucker-punched, it was because I am a closet ND fan.

You really need to get better at insulting people. Also, the posting of your picture as a tough guy, that also is about 6th grade caliber.

Hey I won 31 matches as wrestling captain my senior year. Durrrrrr

Yea, but at least he punched an opposing player, not his own. So your statement is not valid. You fail, just like Michigan and Central Catholic both did this season!

people that take sports serious and really have heart are very distant after a loss. I've lived and i've seen it. On the other hand if you don't care, hit a bar after a loss.

Fail.

You do realize that there are other things in life besides sports right? Maybe he was upset, but went out with his family to take his mind off of it. What is he supposed to do, pout and cry? No, suck it up, move on, and get ready for the next game.

It's sad that a fan would do this to any player.

Jimmy shouldn't have gotten in his face then. You really think Jimmy wasn't at fault if there was no police report filed and none of the offensive lineman at the bar did anything? He got punched, decided to shut up, end of story. ESPN making a huge mess of this is bullshit. One punch, end of it.

It wasn't a sucker punch, Jimmy was in his face and the guy told him to back off. Jimmy didn't and was punched. He backed off then. If this merits a sucker punch then every fight is started with a sucker punch

And I by no means dislike Clausen. I like him more than the majority of campus does
