watching Reds vs. Dodgers tonite...they related that this is Vin Scully's 60th year in broadcasting.


WOW.

I mean he is a living link to baseball in a time before West Coast road trips, free agency, 'steraroids';

He has had conversations with Campanella and Hodges and Snider and Wes Parker and Tommy Davis and Ron Cey and Steve Garvey and Fernando and Brett Butler and Hershiser and Martinez and Manny and Ethier.

He has one of those voices that is immediately recognizable to sports fans of severaly generations.

Keith Jackson, Harry Kalas, Harry Carey, Jim McKay, ............who else you got in this club?

I like Scully ok. I think he is way more suited to radio. That could be because the Dodgers have him solo on TV and it is kind of boring to me. He has a great voice and he gives the information I look for out of a radio broadcast moreso than my TV broadcasts.
