Me and my 2 friends each threw 5 bucks in a pot and attempted to finish the Thurmanator.

I got 3/4s of the way through the burger and most of the way through the fries but couldn't finish, and neither could my friend Sam, but my friend Brad was able to completely clean his plate. Extremely impressive.

I got it down, but it wasn't pretty. I was pretty much sick for the rest of the day....and we got there at opening. It is hilarious to have to eat a burger with a fork.

If you are from Columbus, try Johnie's Tavern on Trabue Rd. on the west side of Columbus. Has been voted the #1 hamburger in the city on several occasions, and recently won "Coldest Beer" in Columbus. Place looks like a dump from the outside, but it is really really good!

Here is a web page with a few reviews:

Place called Sesame in Charleston, SC has half pound burgers for $3 on Tuesdays. What makes them so good is they grind their own meat and make their own pickels, mayonaise, mustard, and ketchup. They also have a lot of craft beer with specials each day. Quite possibly the best burger I have ever had.

Skyway in Fairlawn is pretty good. Really different burgers, sweet is the best descriptor.

Melt Bar & Grilled in Cleveland Heights makes a pretty good burger. Actually, they make a good everything.

Is Jeanie still there, thedynasty? That used to be my regular lunch hangout - haven't been there for years, though. I should go - I drive past it at least once a week. :(
