I doubt that. Clausen is going to tear it up in the NFL.

Just don't let us go up 2-0 and dump Baltimore in Baltimore week 3.

I like your optimism, but you're dellusional.

You ND fans thought the same thing about Quinn too.

I'll hold back my reservations on Clausen and Mccoy until they complete their first seasons as starters.

To make ANY sort of opinion after 1 preseason game is laughable at best, and downright stupid and idiotic at worst.

You're from Dover, don't talk to me about football. When I have a question about mobile homes, I'll shoot u a pm.

We have one mobile home park and we hide it between 77 and a river, whats your excuse for that run down town that revolves around 14-17 year old boys?

I would rather have TJ Ward,Monterio Hardesty, Colt McCoy, and Lauvao than Jimmy Clausen.

Maybe one park but hundreds spread sporadically around the village. You don't want to compare Massillon and Dover, hilljack.

Take Clausen 1 instead of Joe Haden and you still have all your guys. Haden at 1 was retarded. He'll never do anything meaningful.

As if your credibility was ever in doubt, I think this statement has fully confirmed you are indeed, as they say, mentally crippled.

To say that a 1st round pick will never amount to anything 1 preseason game is so moronically stupid I lost braincells reading it.

Oh and by the way, he played pretty solid.

I said during last college football season that Clausen would be the best QB in this draft, and I still believe that. And I'm not a Notre Dame fan by any means. Still, they couldn't take Clausen at 7 when he eventually fell as far he did. They could have taken him instead of Ward, or traded up to get him with some lower picks and still taken Ward. I would rather have Clausen than McCoy.

Clausen was 2nd round. Just Carolina's first pick.

Haden's positioning was very good for a rookie starting against the best offense in the NFL, I think he turns out to be a great pick addressing a NEED for the team. The Browns don't have either Ward(if they take Clausen w/ 2nd) or Hardesty and Luavou(they would of had to trade these picks to move up to take Clausen) if they take the Pro Bowl QB Clausen.

It's too early to say anyone was a reach.

Anyone who was drafted in the 1st round that becomes a solid starter was a good pick. This generally doesn't happen for 2-4 years.

Let's evaluate then who was a reach and who wasn't, who was a bust (so far) and who wasn't.

Hell, it takes some guys 5 years to find their niche as a productive NFL player (Cedric Benson).

The whole draft is a gamble and I would rather have 3 guys to gamble with than 1. I think Ward had a great 1st preseason game one and thats a good thing because the Browns don't have any safeties worth a shit, so having Ward is more important than a QB that 32 teams passed on and 14 or whatever passed on twice.

I know. I am so excited everytime I take rt. 21 north to that gem of a city of yours, and get off Lillian Gish Blvd. The bright lights and energy that remain in that run down rust belt heaven is intoxicating. Please don't compare Massillon and Dover, poseur.

Is that why you backed outta the contract the 2nd year, b/c u didn't like the city... or is it b/c your vagina did the talking for you. Let Dover do something before you talk.

What is your point? Nothing wrong with a rookie playing under a vet and a very good corner.

I'm no Cleveland fan and I think Haden will be solid. He was 1st round worthy, but a reach at #7. I thought he was 12-15 material.

Great response. I guess I will have to wait until our HS football team can win a state title (or mythical state titles) so I can talk smack, quote rap lyrics and pimp my golf handicap on these forums.

I don't work for the school or the athletic department, but I would guess Dover got out of the contract because they were in over their heads in that match-up, got their asses handed to them, and neither team was going to benefit from a similar result the next year. Unless of course the mighty Tigers need to play schools like Dover to display their supremacy over NE Ohio HS football.
