For his career, lefties hit .250 off Josh Johnson. Righties only hit .232. So technically, Dusty is playing the percentages by starting Edmonds and Nix. Then again, Josh Johnson has dominated everyone this year, so I'm not sure how much it really matters. It's gonna be a tough task either way.

I don't think Wood can come back up for ten days, unless there is an injury but not a suspension.

Volquez gets thru the 1st on 14 pitches. But he gave up a one out, 4 pitch walk, and wild pitched him to 2B, where he died.

BP makes that play at 3rd much closer than it needed to be if he just slides to the inside of the bag.

Volquez thru two on 23 pitches, with his worst count in the 2nd at 2-0 when Stanton did him a favor by hitting an easy fly out on the next pitch.

Reds have Johnson up to 45 pitches for six outs, but they failed to get that important run in from 2nd or 3rd in the 2nd.

Edmonds didn't need to worry about getting Rolen to 3rd with one out for Bruce as that won't be an advantage for Bruce!
