the Buckeyes should be naming captains soon--who do you think they'll be?

IMO,it's Pryor,Sanzenbacher,Homan & Heyward

Sanz, Heyward, and Homan. They only choose 3 permanent captains I believe.

Not sure if they would give Brewster the captain spot as he is only a JR on the line. I could see a senior lineman get it, not saying Brewster isn't deserving because he is.

I'd go with Homan, Heyward, and Saine.

Isn't Saine only a Junior also?

Saine is a SR.

Pryor is really the only underclassmen I could see being a captain.

Hmm, not real sure who they would pick. Do they go upperclassmen on offense, or do they give it to TP? On defense, I think it's a bit easier. I think Cam and Homan are great choices, but also guys like Checkwa and Rolle would do us proud. Personally, I'd probably give it all to defensive guys and make TP earn it by going 4 years. He's a beast on the field, but give your seniors that are due the opportunity.

I've been reading a lot of Bryant Browning quotes in the papers, so maybe he is a captain? Just seems like one of those guys that Tressel really seems to like.

And what does Tressel liking him have to do with it? Aren't the captains voted on by the players? No matter who it is, all of these guys listed will likely be a captain for at least one game this season since they always have a few permanent captains and one captain picked for each game (think Jim Cordle against Iowa last year).

Yea, but coaches put certain players in front of the media for a reason, and it's usually because they have earned everyone's respect. I don't know if Browning will be one or not, I'm just throwing out a name of a potential candidate.

It may also have something to do with the fact that he's a senior and Tressel lets seniors talk to the media a lot more than underclassmen. He may also just give good copy so he's quoted more.

Yea I know...

I'm not sure if you are trying to argue the point with me or not, but I just mentioned someone as a possible captain. Sorry if you don't agree with it.

whoever it is, I'm sure they'll do a fine job. Of the people that have been listed so far, only Heyward would be considered a lock for me.

Would be nice to see Brewster get the nod. yes, he's only a Junior, but has basically been a starter since his freshman year

The voting for the Captain still has not happened. Atleast that is what I was told.
