Just activated HBO last night so I am able to watch the series this year. Living in Cincinnati it was a pretty big deal around these parts last year. Rex Ryan and Bart Scott should make this an entertaining season, even if you're not a Jets fan.

Anyone else going to be tuning in?

Best premium channel out there.

I wonder how much it is on Insight. I'd almost rather add another DVR and 60 HD channels to the bedroom rather than get HBO. Maybe I will call them and haggle a package deal for close to the same price as 1.

If you can afford it (around 20 a month for most cable companies) it is well worth the money. Easily my favorite channel. Ive been struggling without it since graduating college and not having my parents supporting me with bills...

Not sure I have Time Warner but I'd hassle them for sure. Tons of good series' and the movies aren't bad either.

It's $14.99/month on directv. I plan on dropping it once Hard Knocks is over but I've already went through and added a ton of movies to record while I have it. Quite a few good movies that I haven't seen yet. I will definitely be getting my moneys worth.

yeah, I am going to call Insight this week and haggle the shit out of them. Since my acct is an old prop management acct it shows in their system that it has been open since 1986, so I can use that to my advantage.

Unfortunately I am only 1 year into my 2 year contract or else I'd use that to my advantage to get it free for 3 months.

I am sure you can find a way to watch it online if you don't have HBO. HBO definitely has some of my favorite shows.

I bet HBO wishes they would have waited one more year to showcase the Bengals with the cast of characters they have this year lol

It's only 4 shows long, so just suck it up and get HBO for a month. Plus, you can take advantage of the HBO On Demand and watch Curb, Entourage and Sopranos.

Pretty sure it's always 4 shows. There are 4 weeks of camp, and it obviously doesn't run into the season.

I think it has been 6, 6, 5, 3, 5, Then this year 4.

Not like the weeks of training camp matter though really, its TV. They can shoot an hour episode each day if they wanted to, but damn that would be a lot of editing.

Is it just me or is every reality based show anymore based in/off residents of Jersey? First you have Jersey Shore, then Cake Boss, Real Housewives of Jersey and now you have the Jets on Hard Knocks. I am getting tired of the world rotating around these big-haired fools.

I think this is a little different. This is actually entertaining, and not necessarily about Jersey residents. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess the number of guys on the roster actually from Jersey is less than 3.

The Jets have a first rate disaster on their hands with Revis right now, who claims he is willing to sit the season out if he doesn't get a new contract that makes him the highest paid corner in the league.

I would ordinarily disreguard bluster like that, but his uncle (and closest advisor right now, Sean Gilbert) did sit out an entire season at one point until he was ultimately traded and got the contract he wanted.

He is basically advising Revis to do the same thing, because the Jets will ultimately end up paying him, or trading him somewhere next year (if he sits out this year) for a first rounder plus and that place will pay him as happened with Gilbert.

I am very interested to see how that plays out.

Revis is really starting to annoy me. He sat out in order to get his current deal as a rookie and now he wants to sit out again with three years left on the contract he sat out to get in the first place? The Jets really do hold all the cards here and with the addition of Cromartie and Wilson the CB crew should be fine. Losing Revis won't cripple the defense.

Won't cripple them, but Revis may be the best in the game. Cromartie is a gambler....he gives up some big plays.
