PS, I was going to guess Ichiro, but I looked it up and he only played in 146 games last year (however, he played in a minimum of 157 games EVERY other year of his US career ... wow).

Derek Jeter has done it 9 times in his career which is quite impressive...he's well on pace to make this year #10

However, Jeter is not the answer

I believe it's a tie, Bobby Abreu and Andrew Jones with 11. Abreu's streak is still active.

***It has to be fewer than 10 games......Bobby Abreu only has 9 as he had 2 seasons missing 10 games exactly

Andruw Jones is the answer with 11 seasons of missing fewer than 10 games....he did it at age 20 while rarely starting but coming in for defense VERY often
