Favre has been getting ripped by plenty....Just more proof Ocho cannot distinguish between good and bad attention and only views any attention as enviable.

What is difficult for you to understand about Favre getting attention but it's hardly all positive? ESPN has had a number of analysts speculating it is about money, and they even asked him that. ESPN created this monster - sure, Favre could have put a stop to it immediately but he's being criticized for a circus largely not of his making while Ocho actively goes out to create a cricus and then wonders why he has critics.

Ocho is a joke. Claimed he would change his name if Revis shut him down - which he did, twice - and then says he was just joking.

Because Favre retiring or not has huge impact on the league...OchoCinco and T.O. are nothing but attention whores who like to dance after TDs. Farve may be a diva, but ESPN covers it so much because it matters to the league. With Favre the Vikes are probably a 11 or 12 win team...without him, maybe 8 at best.

Ocho has become a caricature of himself. The more his skills decline on the field, the more he tries to remain relevant with his antics, dipping his toe into reality tv this year.

Ocho putting this out there knowing it'll be seen is knowing he'll get more attention. Not sure Farve wants it...just worst final decision maker in the history of sports

Truthfully, he's rarely said one way or another it's all been media speculation. He officially retired once from GB, not sure if he retired from the Jets or was cut first, but his goal all along was to go play for MIN when GB wanted to go another directiion. I'm not a fan, just saying I think he's guilty only of letting stuff fester (and what is he going to say if he hasn't made up his mind?) but all the drama stuff is mostly a media creation. It's not like he holds press conferences to alternately retire and un-retire.

This is VERY simple to understand...

Brett Favre 1 Super Bowl ring and 3 mvps trophies.

Ocho and TO? 0 combined of BOTH.

TO/OCHO have always been known as idiots. Favre not so much.

I really don't understand the hate for Ocho. He's a good guy with a good heart that likes to talk. He clearly has fun doing what he does.

I disagree. Ocho bounced back last year. Sure, he only caught 72 balls, but he also played in an offense that ran the ball the second most in the NFL. He still scored 9 TD's and his YPC of 14.5 matched his career numbers. His best 4 years, from 2004-2007, Ocho was around 14.9 YPC.

He had an awful 2008 year, but he really bounced back and had a good season in 2009. He's not declining like many other NFL players...

Honestly, Favre probably gets more leeway in the hearts of the public (and media, as an extension) because of his "good ol' southern boy" persona combined with how he was straight-forward, honest and apologetic after the whole painkiller thing came out. You know, he does Wrangler ads, he comes off as a sincere, simple dude who owns up to mistakes. The "working man's hero".

Sort of like how Michael Jordan created a kid-friendly, warm, fuzzy persona that made the world want to be like Mike. You hear these rumblings that he cheated on his wife, has a massive gambling problem, is a tyrannical asshole to teammates he doesn't feel are good enough for him...but it doesn't matter. It was a bizarre thing. You could get the feeling that if even half of the rumblings were true, he might be one of the world's biggest jerks, but while some people (like the dude who wrote "The Jordan Rules") brought it up, he remained a godly icon. In a way, Favre has the same bulletproof aspect. While some people are negative about him and the constant "will he/won't he" deal, he remains a media and public icon.

I like Ocho, but his act is really getting tiresome with me. He's not a bad person by any means, I don't think anybody is saying that.. But he's not going to be a championship football player. He doesn't have the mindset to do so.

The whole batman and robin thing with TO is pretty gay as well.

I love Ocho and love his act. By all accounts he's someone that shows up for his job and gives it his all, is a good locker room guy, but isn't scared to speak his mind. I wish there were more people like Ocho, rather than the guys who are always P.C.

Two great receivers getting put on the same team doesn't matter to the league? Ok. Ha! It mattered to the league when Ocho and TJ Housh. were together and it will matter again with Ocho and TO.
