Philly fans haven't resorted to stones ... yet. On the plus side though, 15 minutes is too far to drive just to puke on someone.

If this were the site that charges $12 we would have about a page of people tabbing Steubenville as their favorite city.

The Bay Area (SF, Napa, Monterrey, Peeble Beach, Carmel by the Sea, etc.)
San Diego, CA
Scottsdale, AZ (I have never seen so many beautiful women in all my life)
Austin, TX
San Antonio TX

Though I haven't been to that many places (excluding my home town of NYC) these are my favorites so far. Granted these are just based on short visits.

San Francisco
Charleston
Sedona, AZ (OK maybe most won't consider it a city, but I loved it)

Lots of big cities (including Chicago) that I've never been to, so I'm sure this list could change

surprisingly, perhaps, I'm also a fan of Wheeling and Charleston WV, although I'm sure there is plenty of sentiment otherwise.

Question: When you all say NYC, I'm wondering if you mean Manhattan, strictly speaking?
...........................

Killdeer, what is it you like about Wheeling? I'm there at least once a week, and for the most part, it gets on my nerves lol

Most people consider NYC = Manhattan, but NYC is really the five boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island.

1. New Orleans - the food, the music, the culture
2. Chicago - the lake, the Cubs, and the neighborhoods
3. Las Vegas - sports books, great nightlife

I really like the funky downtown Center Market area and the old architecture North Wheeling area.....
usually try to hit Oglebay once a year at least around Christmas time,
have also found some really great hiking in the area.....and a really nice paved bike trail system....

although I grant you ...it has more than its share of run-down river town about it, much like some of the other old Ohio River towns......

I like it all. Of course Manhatten, but I'm also a big fan of Brooklyn and Astoria/Queens. Coney Island is also an interesting place to check out.

New York, Vegas and Chicago. Because of their unending possibilities of entertainment, fine dining, shopping, grand hotels and nighttime allure. There's nothing quite like the bright lights of a big city at nightfall. It's a spectacular sight, especially in the three cities I have mentioned. Chicago gets extra marks because of its spotlessness. Vegas and NYC lose a couple for the same reason.

For a weekend trip of pure, unadulterated revelry, there's nothing in the world like Vegas. (One place that I MIGHT place ahead of Vegas would be the French Riviera, but I cannot, since I have never been.)

BAB, that's what I meant, there's more than one area considering NYC. I found the areas other than Manhattan to be depressing in a way. My mother and her husband lived on L.I. so I visited those areas often when I visited.
............................

Killdeer, I love the architecture of N.Wheeling also, but then again, I love most old houses (when they were built with character)
Centre Market - Love it! Especially the used book store, can't remember the name, and Puddle Ducks. And, Coleman's is where I buy my lump crab.

What get's on my nerves is right now all the detours. Half of the Wheeling Tunnels is closed, and construction on 470 is a nightmare. Seems to be a huge bottleneck to get to the Wheeling Hospital or Washing Lane areas during the day.
