Strained oblique for Cabrera he will almost certainly be put on the DL... Terrible break right now w/ Votto having a wrist injury

Not good. Obliques are the type of thing that can linger for a while. Its kind of hard to not aggravate it even in day to day life.

The problem for the Reds is they have a TON of pitching, and very little hitting depth. More guys like Heisey are going to have to make an impact before they were expected. Welcome Chris Valaika or Zack Cozart?

I sure hope it's Cozart, but I think it will be Sutton with Janish getting the starts.
It does suck that the only real depth is at catch and 3rd with Hanigan/Cairo and they both have great players in front of them.

Cozart isn't on the 40-man unfortunately.
However, Burton, Del Rosario and Fisher are. I don't see how all 3 can be kept given that they are essentially in the same role.
Sutton DFA'ed. One of those RP's DFA'ed. Either way, the Reds need another infielder or position player. Someone has to go for Dickerson to return.

Well, my team did a great job. An inability to generate any offense for the fifth straight day. And you Reds' fans should be pissed you didn't put up double digits. You did enough to win, but with some better offense, you'd have chased a very tentative Ohlendorf in the second inning and wore down the Pirate bullpen.

When the Reds put up a bunch of runs they usually come back the next day and put up 0, so I'm glad they didn't. Maholm has owned the Reds so tomorrow should be a good game. Hopefully Leake isn't rusty.
