No votto in the lineup, hopefully this isn't a problem...

Ross Ohlendorf starting for the Pirates. That means they score one run at maximum.

EDIT: I also can see Ohlendorf getting shelled. He left his last start due to a line drive off the head, which is the sort of thing that can cause a pitcher to get nervous and tentative on the mound. And if he pitches like that against the Reds, that's a situation that could lead to him getting bombed.

Pirates haven't done much offensively the past few days

although Jose Tabata has picked it up

27 for 66 (.409) since the All Star Break

Today's Lineup:

Phillips 4
Cabrera 6
Cairo 3
Rolen 5
Gomes 7
Bruce 9
Heisey 8
Hanigan 2
Wood 1

Can we get runs again this time for Travis Wood? I say a 5-1 Victory

When are #5-#7 batters aren't being very productive/patient I'd #6 or #7

lol.....stupid laptop...lol

When #5-#7 hitters aren't being very patient or productive I'd like to see Ryan hanigan and his mostly solid at bats to hit #6 or #7 in the lineup

This better be a beatdown, I do not want to see Springer in there to close out the game.

Bruce is pretty much worthless when he gets 2 strikes on him.... Reds strand runners at 2nd & 3rd

Not exactly a great first inning for Wood, but at least he throws strikes.

That's more like it Wood. Let's get the guy some run support for a change.

After 2 1/2 it's 2-0 Reds but Cincy has left 7 men on base through 3
