Here is a Conservative who is level-headed ,willing to work across the aisle, and give the President Obama when he thinks he needs it and questions him when he thinks he should.

This is the guy Republicans should get behind, not Palin, Newt, Romney, Rush, etc

I thought that the liberals hated Graham because of the "you lie!" incident?

That wasn't Graham. That was Joe Wilson, another congressman from South Carolina.

Lindsey is a RINO.

He 's a Moderate, not a Far Right conservative and is why he is not well liked by the R party. They'll run him out of the party too as they have done to other Moderates. Cannibalizing the party is fine with me. Just keeps moving Independents over to the D column.

Independents are moving over to the D column? You have seen the latest polls, haven't you, sparky? While I admire your ability to paste together moderately entertaining prose, nuts & bolts political analysis really isn't your forte.

You like him because he is a liberal R. He is closer to a one party system than a 2 party system. We need to move closer to a multiple party system not a one party like this chode represents.

I was with you until you said "Here is a Conservative", and then I laughed really hard for awhile and couldn't type a response. I've never heard one politician (except maybe McCain) talk out of both sides of his mouth more than Graham.

I love when liberals tell us who we should and shouldn't be getting behind.

I think the problem might be that alot of people associate conservative with republican and liberal with democrat.

Here's a wild idea....

Since Graham is out of favor with the party, and he has great appeal with moderates and independents, with Biden retiring,do you think President Obama would ever consider picking Sen.Graham to run with him?

How have they gone down the crapper? They're about to take back power 2 years after you people pronounced them "dead for a generation or more."

I'll say it again for the 1000th time...I'd focus on getting my own party's shit together instead of trying to dispense "helpful advice" to the opponents.

What does being in charge even matter if your just going to shit it away? This is applied to both parties over the last decade.

Most of the time Graham is a RINO. Republicans like him are the very reason that I left the Republican Party prior to the 2008 election. What's the point of having different parties if they espouse the same things? My advice to the Republicans after the election in 2010 is that they better back up all the talking they've done or the Tea Party will kick them right back out in 2012. The American people are tired of politicians from both parties saying whatever they have to to get elected only to act like gods that answer to no one once they are sworn into office.

Graham is the only one who is trying to win favors with the left so they'll let him in the door. It has nothing to do with wanting to "work" with the dems or Obama at all. He knows the Repubs are targeting him and this is his only hope to win favor on the other side of the aisle. He's only concerned about getting to play "in power", and not take it back.

The Republicans will make gains in November..no doubt, But they WILL NOT make enough gains to take back either house of Congress.

I would not be the least bit suprised to see Lindsey Graham in one of the following two roles in 2012:

1.Replacing Hilliary is SECSTATE if she replaces Biden as VP
2.Graham himself replacing Biden as the VP Nominee

Agree. This is a Mid-term election in stress times. No questions Rs will pick up seats. Party out of power always does. But watch what happens in '12. Ds will still control both houses. And the demographic time bomb keeps on ticking . :p

It does NO good and it's high time we threw them all out of their political offices and start over.

Ditto.

He is trying to position himself ala Charlie Crist. He has no backbone and routinely caves to the political winds. Some call this act, "bipartisanship". This is where the Republican or Conservative throws their principles in the toilet and agree with an elitist on how to gain and hold even more power over people.
